Coker is back.

Did that even make sense. I think everyone was saying the CAL game was a big game and wish we had him but it is right to make him sit out. Note the we think it is a big game. I think you just failed a drug test. Volnation does not allow drugs and posting so stay clean.:eek:k:

I think my point would be that "Cal is a big game" when it suits your purposes. Because you want to believe that the suspension of Coker is legitimate, versus the blind and fact-less rage displayed against the Thomas situation, the argument right now is that this is a tough and meaningful loss for the team and the kid.

But, in other threeads, according to most on here Cal sucks

:lolabove: you must have been laughing as you typed that.

Meyer played him to make it easier for the university to boot him. thats rich.

Can you even read?

That is not even remotely close to what I said.

If you are going to recast my comments and then insult your version of what I said, why not just make stuff up? That's what you are doing anyway.

Lawgator, thats what Fulmer is doing. He's reinstating Coker on the team to make it easier for Coker to break another team rule and get kicked off the team permanently.

He's doing it to make it easier for the University to kick him off the team for good.

 Sad but true LG. Thanks for pointing all of this out. I feel almost no one has the right to say this suspension is coming at a bad time. If anything you should play him against Cal and bench him for SMU based on the previous posts of Vols.

Whatever, I can pull up a million posts that basically say Cal is pathetic and the Vols are guaranteed a win. You’re new around here, you have no idea what time it is.

Dude that was hilarious, I had to wait to start typing I was laughing so hard. You just came onto A Vol board made an out there statement and then expect back up from our board. Just Say No my friend but I now understand why they keep you around. Every great kingdom needs a good jester. Keep up the good work we are counting on you.

thats exactly what you were saying. He played him so he wouldn't have a case to be reinstated:

To not play him because he shirked the university's policy and then beat them at their own game would give Thomas an even better case than he would have had if they'd simply booted him immediately.

that's what Fulmer's doing. He's reinstating Coker so he doesn't have a case to keep from getting permanently kicked off the team.

It was still a baseless excuse, whether he misread what you were trying to say or not. Meyer did NOT have to put the kid on the field. Period. But he did, end of story. This excuse that he "had" to play him because it would have given Thomas a "case"... a "case" for what?!?! The coach says "he broke team rules and won't play or practice... but he's still 'on' the team." It isn't hard to see through.

Ha, never. I merely stated a fact. 99.999 percent of Volnation members have already chalked the first game up as a guaranteed W. I am not trying to be a jerk or cause problems, I am just stating the blatantly obvious.

Thomas has a property interest in playing so as to develop an NFL career. Don't fool yourself. You start messing with these kids futures and threatining to throw them off the team, especially for drugs, and there's a justification for them to claim you are in error, you better tread lightly.

Its a significant game. But the word "huge" is a bit of an overstatement.

It is, after all, Cal.

Ahh...perspective Lawgator..perspective. To the Pac-10, a Cal win in this game would be huge. To the SEC - a Vol win would be just another day at the office.

So he played him because he was afraid he would jepardize his NFL career.

It wasn't because he was doing whatever he could to win the game though.

Look Pooh, all we have to go on is last year's game. We all know how THAT one turned out.

What you are doing is hijacking a thread for about the 80th time.

I wouldn't have interrupted the celebration except for a couple of comments deriding UF over the Thomas situation. The hipocrisy was too much for me to bear, so I had to drop in and point it out.

Truthfully, I hope he gets his act together. Win or lose versus the Gators, I want it to be against the best you have to offer.

Does anyone even know for sure what Coker did?

I have heard it was marijuana, I have heard it was cocaine, and I have heard it was missing a counseling session.
If its the latter, the Gator fans shut quit embarrassing themselves.

No doubt Meyer would have reinstated Coker for the Cal game "while the case is reviewed" after the game suspended him for Southern Miss and then reinstated him for Florida, thats how Meyer rolls.

Let's see... first to mention Thomas... was... oh. Lawgator1! Amazing!

The hypocrisy I see is the declaration that "Meyer WANTED to kick him off the team... seriously, he did! However, he had 'no choice' but to play him."

That's all I have to say about this.

Uh.... no. It's been said before, but it bears repeating. Stop thinking and talking. You suck at it.

One example, for instance.
