... (after briefly discussing the Gruden rumors and playing the interview this morning) that UT is a 'great job', the 9th best in the country (after UGA).

Reasons listed - money, passionate fan base, UT is the dominant in-state school (no SC vs Clemson, etc.), big states with top prospects close by, etc.

No big news but still nice to hear...

However, earlier in the show he didn't put much stock in the rumors of Gruden coming here, mainly because of college vs NFL.

I think UT is a better job than UGA. I think we are a top 5-7 program or job..

You can argue UGA is in the state with so much talent but they also have GA Tech down the road and even more pro teams in state. Plus every school in the country raids their state every year. So, in a way that puts them at kind of a disadvantage. Plus, their tradition and history is second fiddle to ours!!!!!!!!

UGA is an easy job. They can basically fill their entire roster with kids just from Metro ATL and be really loaded, thats not even including South GA.

Do you think it will be another week before we hear something?

I am predicitng that our "A" list will be completed and none of the candidates will take the job. I also predict when interviews are conducted from the "B" list that Jones from Cincinnati will take the job.
Fire Dooley and pay out $5,000,000 and replace him with another lower level coach. Remember, Jones is winning football games with the players that Brian Kelly recruited.
If Hart does not get this hire right, then the Titantic will definately sink. Us being irrevelant since 2008 is bad enough, now to re-build will take a couple of more seasons, even with the correct hire. That would mean 6 seasons as being irrevelant.
If Hart hires the wrong person, then the program will continue to fall and it will take decades to recover....
I have my doudts that we get a "HomeRun" hire.....

Yeah, it's a really quiet search compared to a lot of schools, it's either like Dr. Jerry Punch said, Hart's already got his man or he's dragging his feet and hasn't even seriously started yet. If he's already in serious negotiations with somebody you'd think it's gotta be Gruden.

If we get Gruden I think we will know around 5-10 of December mostly because Gruden is waiting on the Gaints and Skins game the 3rd like he's been saying. No insider JMO

I have my doubts as well and have accepted the fact that UT football may never work its way back to the way it was in the 90's. I still love watching them play, even if they never win.

Rumor has it that there is some type of football meeting in NYC at the Waldorf Hotel on December 4th. The meeting will include the "Who is Who of college football coaches and A.D's" Supposedly, Hart is to do some interviewing at that time.
I heard that from Bob Kessling on the t.v. show, after the Ky. game and also heard it on a local radio sports talk show in Nashville.

Respectfully disagree.

UGA has the advantage of a fertile recruiting area, arguably as much "tradition" as UT, with a better track record of recent success.

Does this mean that you believe Brain Kelly is winning with the players Charlie Weis recruited?

I respectfully do not like trolls as I do not troll other schools sites. Do not understand the purpose, but I have some ideas why you would.
