Colin Cowherd knows football

Darby's pretty good but the O-line isn't really making much room for him. Ole Miss banged us up pretty good so hopefully we can make a game of it and not get embarrassed. Our D is what really concerns me...we haven't stopped the run against anybody.

I detected no anti-Vol or "Vol upset" slant, aside from acknowledging that an upset could happen if Darby has a big day. That's exactly what I think has to happen for the Tide to pull the upset.

Darby is good back I think. He worries me a little.

Bama's rushing game is about the same as it has been over the last couple of seasons. In 04 they rushing for 63 and in 05 for 67. Only 1 rushing BAMA TD in these 2 games. Expect more of the same.

Bammer`s running game dried up about the same time the cash river out of Memphi$ dried up.
Interesting.

Don't think we are quite as good on run defense as last year though.

Not really. All he disparages are the lunatic fans and moronic homer callers. He has said on numerous occasions that the SEC is where the best football is played. I heard him last week suggesting that Ohio State join the SEC because they have the tradition, talent and delusional fan base to fit right in.

no offense to anyone, i listen daily to cowherd and have for last three years, always bashing ut til now, went nuts over urban legend coming south, how he would clean everyones clock cause he was so much smarter than rest of the crew, also did a job on auburn couple of years ago when anyone with a football iq of 65 knows they should have played for championship. just watch this guy, his opinions change like we change socks...i.e. wisconsin this year is prime example, wisc. is horrible according to herd without b. alverez (i agree alverez great coach) now he is all over wisc. one more item, i love the sec and its fans (yes i am stuck in big ten territory) i still think with all of our/their faults, they are the best, especially at ut.
go vols!!!

I think that's possible for UT to make it to the NC but it's going to take a lot of help.....Michigan and Ohio State will have to be #1 and #2 when they play, Florida has to lose 1 more game.....Auburn has to lose to someone.....USC has to get beat by Cal, Louisville or West Virginia, one of those teams will go down, we all know that, and then which ever team wins that game has to get beat again....And of course, we have to win out....Not impossible, but we need a lot of help

Pitt will have to knock off Louisville, Louisville must beat WVU. Cal must beat USC. Florida has to lose to UGA or SC and we have to beat Auburn in the SECCG.

It is really not as much help as people would think, however, it is still a long shot.

I think we are going to see a Florida-Auburn rematch in Atlanta.

1. Meyer has done pretty well. He's poised to win the SEC East in his second season with a Zook-recruited team. He won't be as dominant as Spurrier was, but I firmly believe that a spread option infused with Florida high school talent can win in the SEC.

2. Auburn again... They got screwed to a degree, but how many times does it have to be reiterated? USC beat ACC champion Virginia Tech on the road, won out, maintained a #1 ranking and Oklahoma put together what can only be described as one of the best regular seasons in the history of college football. It was Auburn's own fault, and a prime example of weak SEC scheduling practices coming back to bite them in the ass. It cost them a shot at a national title, and rightly so.

3. One's opinions are not allowed to change through the course of a season? You've got to be kidding me. Nobody predicts a season perfectly. We've all seen our share of suprises this season, and as things change so must one's opinion of what is going on. It's the way college football works.

4. Cowherd still respects SEC football and most of its fans, but like it's been stated before, there is a larger number of knuckleheads in the south simply because of fanbase proportion. More fans = more idiots. Nothing personal, and those are just the ones he picks out.
