He just said south carolina 28-23 over the vols. He said its tuff pic bc we keep getting close but he picked on south carolina last week and they won.

Sounds about right to me, although I'm a little more inclined to see SC score in the low 30s, just because of Shaw's ability to run, and our difficulty with outside contain.

Cowherd was also complimentary of UT although he picked Georgia a few weeks back.

I find it interesting because I remember him talking about Dooley and he said there was no way he was going to succeed. It seems to me he has a different set of expectations for CBJ.

Herby had South Carolina on his upset alerts list for the weekend. He said he wasn't calling upsets, but the games could be closer than you think.

He was saying that Kiffin needed to go from USC.

That's what his mouth was saying, but in his heart it was...

If we don't win, this score would be acceptable. The last thing we need this weekend is a blowout.

The smart pick here is USC. We are definitely the underdogs and have to play lights out to win. I do think its possible however.

I'm not a talking head TV pundit wearing a $1k suit, I'm picking the Vols 28-17 cause we're gonna play some serious D.

Cowherd doesn't listen to anybody. Thats what I like most about him. He has his own opinions. He said very positive things about Tennessee. He just says we need to get our offense in line before he starts picking us to upset. He also said if the Tennessee that played in the second half of the UGA game shows up he loves our chances..

I like listening to cowherd because he doesn't care what everybody else is saying. He doesn't go with the crowd on any topic unless he actually agrees with the crowd that time. But he always has his own opinions and really has an interesting twist on things that really make you think

Cowherd said bama was never going to be dominant again back in 2006.

He also said the Rams were going to be great this season.

I'm not a huge fan but he's passable. Infinitely better than Jim Rome.

I agree. I'm a huge fan of Cowherd. He isn't bias and he doesn't care what people think about him. I'll never forget last year he was on ESPN radio talking to all these Knicks fans on how they messed up trading all there guys for Melo. People were calling in so mad because Melo was having a career year, but facts are Melo isn't going to be able to lead NY by himself over a team like the Heat. He just calls it like he sees it. I think he's one of the few guys on ESPN that isn't afraid to say what he feels is right.

We have a lot to prove in my opinion. Georgia was missing so many players and they lost their minds on the football field. Not saying that UT wasnt part of the reason for that, but South Carolina is locked and loaded, unlike Georgia was.
If we play like we did against Georgia (taking advantage of all the breaks) then we MIGHT win this game.

There are several positive statements coming from the talking heads this week. We have some momentum after the near miss with Georgia. We need to keep it close through the next 2 games. It is important the players fell good about their chance of winning the remaining games. Remember at the beginning of the season everyone had this game in the loss column. I would be ecstatic if we could pull off the upset however another good showing against a top ten team would keep the Mo going and show that we are not that far away from getting back in SEC race.

Gives me an excuse to post this gif. Never gets old.

Cowherd does his job well. He always has half the people that listen to him hating him and half loving him. He says controversial stuff to piss people off. He is so brash that when he does compliment a team it comes off as unbiased. Basically he knows just as much as most of us nothing but he gets paid to share his opinion with the masses.

I can't say he was wrong to be critical of Dooley.
