Im curious as to how broad that brush strokes and or what he is covering with it.

The question was asked above about sports stars and famous (wealthy) blacks not staying or moving back into the ghetto or hood after the make it, do they fall under that description? Thats a good starting point.

Solid post. Seems like the first thing black folks do when they get rich is run, not walk, away from the black communities they came from.

Ever seen a meeting or party of NBA or NFL players with their wives or girlfriends? Better than 50% have white women. Not counting the few white athletes and their ladies. Seems like thats the norm for millionaire black athletes...get a hot white girl ASAP. Why arent they labeled as sellouts or uncle toms? Because they can dunk from the free throw line or run a 4.4sec 40 they are free to run to gated communities and marry kardashian looking white girls? What is it about the black community that makes these athletes run away from it at high speed as soon as they get paid? Could it be that they dont share the victim mentality and self oppression? For the record, i know that in atlanta there are communities that are almost exclusively black rich folks. There are also clubs and such that cater to this crowd. Many NBA and NFL athletes have a house in atlanta for this reason, even though they play for NY or LA. This is the only place in the entire US that i know of that is this way however...and even these areas have gates and security guards to keep lower class blacks from intruding. Chris Rock has said some hilarious truths about these things. Like Bill Cosby used to do, he often says what many in the black communities dont want to hear. Maybe some of the "victims" like D4h should listen to what Chris and Bill have said. Or, they could just label them sellouts and continue to blame whitey for every failure in their lives....

Wouldnt be the first time i got lyrics wrong for sure. Always loved that song...drums are cool, and a great hook. Used to drive around in GTA blasting that song.

Edit. Is a female leopard even a leopress? Drugs are bad, mmkay. I burned some brain cells in my youth for sure...

Actually I always thought that as well. I looked up the lyrics to be sure and one site had Olympus. Leopress makes more sense actually.

I'm still waiting to hear about the educational barriers in place for black folks.

My high school and two others closed the year after I graduated because they were too "white".

People don't come back to the hood because they will get shot, robbed, murdered, or a combination of all that. That's a culture issue.

I've never heard anyone say "Oh look a nice all black neighborhood I can't wait to move in!"..
