Colin Powell Died

No other x-president would have written so unnecessary and absurd about Powell after his death.
You guys should have focused long ago on how and why a person with so much good to offer (Trump - in your mind) would throw it all away by being such a petulant and sh!tty person. The answer to that question is not what you initially assume.
You've got to dig a little deeper.
I don't know what he said about Powell so I cannot comment on that. I don't find Trump any more or less deplorable than a Nancy Pelosi or Biden for example. I don't view any of them from a partisan lens.

Biden nor Pelosi would never write anything remotely as tasteless as what Trump wrote following Powell's death. (and that is just one example). Trump does those things for a reason, and that reason is the root of what makes Trump so horrendously repulsive.

We get it Biden sucks. Don't disagree.

Doesn't change the fact that Trump sucked too. We need new choices in 2024. No more recycled losers or family members of recycled losers.

I'd be willing to bet what you will see before that ever happens is the demise of social media, reality TV, kardashians (and their ilk), 47 genders, global warming promoters, etc, etc. In other words an irrational and increasingly irrational society isn't going to pick leaders based on the right stuff.

Of course, they wouldn't. Biden and pelosi have jen and maxine to do the dirty work. But, yeah, you are right in a way; lifetime politicians are generally pretty wimpy and wishy-washy with words - also generally dependent on the audience. Trump was a barbarian with words - unfiltered and often uncouth; your kind only accepts that kind of thing from a diversity and never from not one of your own. Ever think what might have happened if the end of WW1 and beginnings of WW2 had been handled by oafs who spoke plainly rather than by diplomats who nobody actually understood.

I read the quote, it's tasteless but so is ripping up a state of the union address. Our leaders are despicable people.

True, neither would write or say such things. They would just try to use his memory to take more money from us and buy votes.

You ever think about what the constitution might have been like had it been written by narcissistic oafs rather than politicians who put great thought into their words?

Nobody has ever worked harder to take others' money by any means possible than has Trump.

There's certainly a difference in speech between the two time periods, but I find what the founding fathers wrote to be far more understandable than the drivel that congress calls legislation and the diplomatic doublespeak of the state department. Who knows, maybe those old guys were just pretty blunt themselves, but still retained some tact and decorum - very likely a reflection of society at the time - like when men were men and nobody had social media.

You actually think none of the FFs were narcissists?

If that's the measure then you can't possibly have liked anyone since Reagan at best.

Sometimes your posts strike me as coming from someone who can't enjoy the game of football because they are mean to each other.
Trump's tweets aren't "mean". Cowardly and petty best describes them. The clown literally disparaged a lifelong patriot while she was testifying before Congress. Making false accusations in the form of insults isn't "mean". He's a thin skinned coward and a top shelf PUSSY

You realize you just described most politicians? I seem to recall many on the right and left piling on obviously baseless claims for political purposes.

If you're going to call it out call it all out or quit complaining.

Trump was motivated by his personal greed.

Name a politician not consumed with personal greed, and back it up. Here's another little thing about your line of thinking. Trump was in business rather than a lifetime politician. The measure of success in the business/banking/investment world is making money - ask Gates, Bezos, Soros, Musk, Buffett, etc. Now look at the dirty little secret of amassing money by participating in places like congress - you can see how one group becomes wealthy, but the other group makes them out to be true pikers because they amass millions on a salary of thousands.
