OK. I wasn't talking one specific case, I didn't know the particulars of the OU program. I am not going to agree with the statement that a backup senior is better than a backup freshman. It all depends on who they are.

I'm still waiting for your first point. The all encompassing "Senior backup is better than a freshman backup" is just not true.

fine, if given the choice i would much rather have an experienced backup. there are exceptions to everything, i believe that goes without saying. i think in this case it was obvious who had the better backup

Don't kid yourself - you're widely recognized as a joke. Most of the guys that aren't real bright tend to not behave like arrogant jackasses. That's what makes you so special.

This coming from the guy who roots for the NBA's failure. I don't need slack, or anything else for that matter. On the other hand, you're going to need quite a bit of help if you want to make your ridiculous playoff system a reality. Perhaps some of your fellow Scientologists will come to your aid.

I'm not even slightly upset. If you make negative insinuations regarding my intelligence, I'm going to respond. It doesn't mean I take you seriously. If I bother you that much, you have a young one you can tend to instead.

Yes, I would be happy with that. I can agree 16 teams is too much and it would water down some aspects of college football. I personally like the 6 conference champions idea with 2 at large bids. But I can see with a plus 1 that it would be hard to ever complain about who won it all. So yes.

This may have been already posted but I think an 8 team playoff would work. 6 automatic bids, 2 at-large. Everyone else plays in the non-BCS bowl games.

I would go with 8 teams and play the first round at campus sites the week after the conference title games. The losers could be selected for bowls. Wait until NYD for the semis. That's been my idea for years now.
