where do you guys think Gameday will head this weekend? Not a really intriguing game on the schedule nationally, the only options may be Auburn at UGA or Florida at USC. What do you think?

I don't think they will go to OSU-Illinois, because I'm pretty sure they will beat in Ann Arbor for Ohio State and Michigan the week after. I doubt they pass that up for UK Georgia or BC Clemson.

From that, I would say Georgia.

There aren't really any choices. It won't be UGA/Auburn, that game is on CBS. They usually go to the Night games for ESPN. Night games for ESPN are the Florida/SC game and the Cal/USC game. I don't think either of those are good choices, but I see the Cal/USC game of instate rivalry more of a pick over than the expected Florida win over SC. If it were at Florida maybe.

Gameday was in LSU for the Florida game and that was a CBS primetime game, competing against ESPN and ABC primetime games. The fact that it's on CBS won't stop them.

Didn't realize that, but the auburn/uga game isnt primetime. I just don't see them going uga. Auburn isnt in the lead in the SEC, Georgia it all depends on what Tennessee does this weekend.

Illinois at Ohio St. is an ABC 3:30 game. Wouldn't surprise me at all for them to go there, just because they are the #1 team in the country, and to plug ABC instead of CBS.

I wouldn't be surprised to see them go to OSU either, just to go to OSU. You know Kirk has to get there a couple times this year.

Just wondering

Why is there not a SEC guy on Gameday

Fowler=Big 12
Kirk= Big 10
Corso= Florida State & Indiana

I dont think anybody in the studio is SEC related. are we not educate enouff~

I don't recall them in Columbus at all and the Tosu-PSU game was a huge game. I just hate how people get so jealous over the number one team. Even Herbstreit has made fun of tOSU's schedule and Fowler has mentioned that he doesn't know how good tOSU really is. They don't have a love fest with the Buckeyes, they just to cover the number one team in the land.

I think OSU is just overrated. They still get quite the hype for being a winning team. The big 10 is down this year and OSU hasn't played anyone credible out of the conference. There are plenty of 1 loss teams that should be higher than them.

and you're right. but that's not Gameday's fault. Other than Fowler, does anyone else on there have a vote? even then, Fowler has been quoted questioning how good they are.

Yeah but Fowler questions everything, that is his job. And the other two nuts answer him, of course Kirk being pro-osu. I don't watch gameday anymore, its a waste of time, wherever they go, is wherever they go! :dunno:

that's my point. Herbie has gone on record bashing tOSU's pathetic schedule. how pro-tOSU is that?

Yes but he also backs it up saying how OSU is really talented and runs the table and how he thinks they will win out getting a shot at that title again, saying they were embarassed last year and want to prove that they are legitimate this year to get back there. Its one thing for him to say something about an easy schedule but he will never say that, that team is bad. There is always some excuse with Kirk, just like last year after the champ. game.

again though, all that is pretty much true. They are talented, and no one has stepped up to be THE title contender. Of course, tOSU wants to get out and prove they are legitamately good. Ohio State hasn't done anything to show they are any worse than everyone else. They just haven't shown anything to show they are better than everyone else, and that's all i've ever heard them say on Gameday.

I agree, again I have not watched gameday all year besides part of the osu/psu one, so I don't know what they are saying. I just hear kirk go on about OSU when he is doing another game, usually the 8pm ABC game. :no:

Cal/USC seems to be a logical choice.

and i could see being in Columbia, had SC won any of their last three games....that, and if they could guarantee Corso's safety down there. word is they don't like him too much on Columbia......:eek:lol:

Herbie K was on there last night singing the praises of OSU as the best team in the country because of their unmatched consistency. He proclaimed the PSU and Wisc wins as some sort of validation. Only negative whatsoever, Wisc. exposed the OSU defense to some degree. Otherwise, he was nearly drooling in finally get to rave about the Buckeyes.
