Well, they are a projected 5 seed. That's about as hyped as a 9 loss team ought to get.

I, for one, feel like UK is finally starting to play like they are capable of, and thus are looking more deserving of that seed. What I habe a problem with is that they have almost sat on that 5 line for the entire 2nd half of the season when they didn't deserve it. It took a 4 game losing streak to knock them off of it, and then one win put them back up near it.

Incorrect. For a few weeks we were pretty much a consensus 7-8, even 9, seed on most brackets. Only in the last week have we climbed back up. The saving grace for UK is that 7 of their losses are to good teams, Q1 teams. The other two (iirc off the top of my head), were to mediocre teams.

Not saying we're a great 5 seed, but I see the argument for it based on SOS and the meh record against good teams.

From February 8th to Feb 15th, UK dropped from a 5 to a 9 following a 4 game losing streak. A week later, Feb 22nd, and following two wins, they are 5 seed again, and have been since.

I made my feelings about it well-known at the time that they were being overvalued. You and I even had a back and forth about it. You need to check your facts on this one.
