College Hoops Around The Country [TN opponents, RPI, others]

Not sure about that... if anything it will lend more credence to the thought that it's a different team witout McLemore. Committee will evaluate them differently, and I think easily knocked down to the 4 seed.

That’s a good point too...would take Vols/Auburn both losing for it to be possible IMO.

Tulane decides they don’t really want to win. And Texas missing layups to get within a single possession

Woof

Rooting guide

Seed line:
SMU over Cincinnati - 12pm
Alabama over Auburn - 1pm
Temple over Wichita St - 7pm
Virginia over Clemson - 7pm
West Virginia over Texas Tech - 9pm

It gets a little murky at this point. Because there are outcomes that hurt teams near us on the seed line in terms of resume, but helps their odds of winning the conference tourney. Oregon over USC, Florida over Arkansas (presumably hurts our chances of making the final), Kentucky over Georgia, Houston over UCF (if Houston wins their tourney can they jump us?), UCLA over Arizona (can Arizona pass us? UCLA winning would give Michigan another Q1 win). So the picks below are made under the general assumption that we're going for the best chances to climb on the seed chart, as opposed to softening the landing if we lose.

RPI/Quadrants:
Memphis over Tulsa - 2pm
Kentucky over Georgia - 3:25pm (if Auburn loses this switches)
Davidson over St. Louis - 8:30pm
Houston over UCF - 9pm
Arizona over UCLA - 9pm
Florida over Arkansas - 9:25pm (if Auburn loses this switches)
Oregon over USC - 11:30pm

Devastating loss for Middle Tenn

It's just unbelievable to lose two in a row like that after dominating C-USA all year and playing like a top 25 team.

Don't lose to Marshall for a second time and get bounced in the first round of the conference tourney and they're still probably safely in.

Lose to Marshall for a second time and win a couple of gimmes in the C-USA tournament and they're still probably in.

But nah. They went ahead and clinched the worst case scenario and the only one to put them at risk of being NIT-bound after a big win vs WKU a week ago. Pathetic.

Cincy gets the win, would’ve been nice to see them drop that one but was pretty unlikely.

Would really be nice to see Alabama come back and beat Auburn, but not looking great.
