Paolo Banchero facing charges related to DWI.
Sounds like Coach K's grandson was driving, but Banchero was charged with aid and abetting DWI.
I thought so, too. My guess is that since he wasn't driving, they had no grounds to test his blood alcohol level, so unless he was exhibiting signs of severe intoxication or in possession of an open container, there was no proof of comsumption.Sounds like a BS charge because he did something like get mouthy with the po-po. Similar to obstruction. Unless he hires a dunce lawyer it gets tossed. No charge for underage consumption? Something’s goofy.

Steve McNair got a DUI because he got his drunk wife or gf to drive him and his vehicle home.
It’s your vehicle, might wanna know what someone is/was doing before handing over your keys…you see someone pop a bunch of shrooms you letting them drive your car?Lawmakers probably caved to the MADD Nazis. Throwing people in a cage just for registering 0.08 is stupid. Are vehicle owners supposed to administer blood alcohol tests before letting anybody drive their car?
One surprising thing about this is that Banchero drives a 2017 JeepBanchero’s 2017 Jeep was being driven by Savarino. Banchero was released at the location of the traffic stop.
“Aiding and abetting a DWI in North Carolinacan be charged when a person knowingly turns over their own vehicle to someone who is impaired or fails to prevent an impaired person from getting behind the wheel.”
