Middle Tennessee will remain in Conference USA after considering an exit to the Mid-American Conference.

University president Sidney McPhee said in a statement that Conference USA's recent additions of Jacksonville State, Liberty, New Mexico State and Sam Houston State will help stabilize the league. Conference USA has lost eight current members in the latest round of realignment. Six schools -- Charlotte, Florida Atlantic, North Texas, Rice, UAB and UTSA -- are set to join the American Athletic Conference, while Marshall and Southern Miss are headed to the Sun Belt.

Washington upset by Northern Illinois, a team that was 3-16 last year and with a coach in his first game. I think the Mike Hopkins experiment is going down in flames.

And they were within a whisker of losing. Hopefully it is a wake up call. They aren’t a Sweet 16 lock by any means.
Not sure how much Horston being out was affecting them, but they were having a rough time and then Rae Burrell went down with a knee injury that looked serious. Dye stepped up really well and you have to hope they hit a three before the 4th quarter tonight. It was such a whiplash watching our guys jacking it up from distance all game and seeing our gals focusing on the interior.

Villanova and UCLA playing at 11:30 PM EST should be illegal lol. 11:30!?!? You couldn't do like 10:30? That's still 7:30 PST, so it would still be primetime on the West coast. Shocked they're putting a Top-5 matchup on TV at nearly midnight.
That seems crazy at face value, but we all know that money talks. I’m sure in all their wisdom these networks have done what is best for them monitarily.

I find it hard to believe starting any game in any sport at essentially midnight on the East coast is best for money. It could be argued the most avid college basketball fans in the country are on the East coast, and most will be fast asleep before this game even tips.

You would think that, but money controls the world. Maybe I’m wrong, but I don’t think so.

Yeah I’m curious about that because the Cincy game is at 6 anyways. So it’s not like you have a high profile football game or anything. And it’s on ESPN2! You’re not even running into NBA’s programming.
