College Hoops Around The Country [TN opponents, RPI, others]

It is scary how quickly that “can’t shoot to save your life” game came after we talked about it this week. Apparently we just willed that happening into existence by talking about it.

If we do shoot a ton of 3’s all year, we will have a game or two like this and a portion of our fan base will completely melt down. Unable to understand the basic math and variance around shooting percentages.
I know the drive by criticism is always out when we lose, but I don’t recall us taking a bunch of bad shots. SV hit several but he missed a bunch that looked good when they left his hands. Bailey, Powell, and JJJ missed a ton of open 3’s. Your completely right as it’s just the nature of taking long jump shots

Refs are playing defacto mercy rules for Marquette. Gave St Bonny a T for a routine dunk except that it was when they were up by 30

anyone else see Clemson get T’d up for having 6 players on the court? Basically cost them the game. Don’t think I’ve ever seen that before

That is how it was enforced a long time ago. For the last couple of decades the refs won’t put the ball in play and tell them that they have 6 on the floor and somebody needs to sit down.

It's early, obviously, but the Pac-12 looks to be the best they've been in decades while the Big Ten and ACC are reeling compared to years past. The SEC, meanwhile, should comfortably get 7 teams into the tournament.
The PAC-12 was clearly the best league when it mattered last season. That's no surprise.
