College Hoops Around The Country [TN opponents, RPI, others]

So bad. Honestly, I'm struggling to see how any of the SEC teams can play enough consistent basketball to get past the S16.

3-4 teams in the sweet 16 shows the strength of the league more than 1 final 4 contender imo

Depth is key imo

He was so scared of getting the 5th he wasn't even contesting.

The sad part is that he wasn't his man. Saben Lee gambled for the steal on the inbounds and trailed Green the whole way down the court. Still, LaChance has to stop the ball. Give up the foul if you have to, but you don't give a free lane to the basket.

UK has been very, very fortunate to find ways to win several games this year they had no business winning. That being said, Vandy did everything they could to gift wrap this one. Bryce Drew leaving LaChance to guard SGA in the M2M was stupid. He couldn't stop him all night long, and especially with 4 fouls. UK's game plan the last 10 minutes was to give
him the ball and let him go to work, and he abused them in the zone, and then LaChance couldn't guard him in M2M.

Sidenote: If Cal mentions how young this team is as a crutch one more time, he oughta be punched in the throat. This team has played 22 games now. They aren't young anymore, and their perceived inexperience is completely on him and his recruiting method. No one feels sorry for you every time you bring it up, Cal.

I don’t have a problem with a coach saying their team is young.

But when that’s your excuse every single year because of your recruiting method, it gets old.

Cal needs better excuses for his team’s performance.

Would not be shocked to see Texas beat Texas Tech either. Tech is undefeated at home, but Texas beat them by 9 two weeks ago, has road wins at Bama, VCU, and Iowa St, and Mo Bamba and Osetkowski dominated Tech in the paint. Bad matchup for Tech from a size perspective.

Butch Jones esq.

Has Cal mentioned that none of them have ever played Vandy at home, or flown on a plane, or whatever other BS Butch used as excuses to set up for his inevitable loss?

ISU dominated west virginia. Maybe that will be a good win for our resume after all.

Not quite sure it'll make it to the "good win" category unless ISU goes on a tear to end the season. They're still 12-9 overall.

Nevertheless, it shows how difficult it can be to win in Hilton, so the fact that we absolutely dump trucked them is pretty impressive.
