College Hoops Around The Country [TN opponents, RPI, others]

I'd probably knock that down to 25% chance of running the table, 50% chance of only 1 loss, and 75% chance of 2 losses.

Even that is most likely generous. If I remember Probability correctly, if a team is 75% likely to win each of just 2 games, the odds are:

2-0: 56.25% (.75 x .75)
1-1: 37.5% (.75 x .25) + (.25 x .75)
0-2: 6.25% (.25 x .25)

Yeah, I said that.
Yeah, I figured even those numbers were pretty generous. Just trying to illustrate that a 50% chance of us running the table is pretty unrealistic.

It's generous for sure. I just really believe in where this team is going. They are a much better team than the one that beat Purdue earlier this year and blew a huge lead to Nova.

The team that lost to Ark and Auburn has not shown itself since those games. We got our one ridiculous bad night out of the way at Missouri.

Right now Tennessee is playing as good basketball as anyone in the country. I think we will know everything we need to know at about 10PM on 2/6. If we go into Rupp and win, especially if it is a clean win, these guys are ready to play for it all. Lose that one and they are still a great and dangerous team, but one that still has some maturing before they are truly top 10 caliber.

I am still a long way from saying we win a championship, there is just too much luck involved in that process, and I do think there are several other teams just as good.....but I don't think we would be more than a 2.5 pt underdog to anyone in the country in any location right now.

I think that's a little extreme, but I agree, we are peaking at the right time it seems.

Probably need to run the table until CUSA final to have a good shot of an at large, rooting for them though.

Looking at middles schedule I think they are going to win out now after the win last night where they were the underdogs. Their RPI is 21 now.

They only have 3 games I think it's possible for them to lose and they are all at home. WKU, Marshall and uab.

I am putting them in the dance regardless of their tourney

If they win out it’s possible, iirc they got left out a couple years ago with a damn good record. Post Memphis has C-USA ever gotten more than 1 team in?

They got left out when they were in rhe sunbelt but the RPI wasn't nearly this good

This is by far CUSAs best year in awhile

It’s nice that in years past this would suck as we are in the bubble and wants the extra spots, this year we are talking about top 4 seeds in front of us losing so maybe we can get a 2 or 3 seed...hell yea!

How can anyone justify Arizona being seeded higher than us?

Their best win is... Texas A&M? Utah?

Meanwhile they’ve lost to 2 teams we beat- NC state and Purdue. And they also have a horrible loss to Colorado.

They’ll win the PAC, but that’s not saying much. The Pac is terrible. The worst it’s been in years

YEp. I just don't want to play them or any other in state team for that matter
