College Hoops Around The Country [TN opponents, RPI, others]

I’d love to be in Providence’s region. If they even make it past the first round. They have upset city written all over them
Yep. I’d say the absolute dream scenario for Tennessee, assuming a 3 seed, would be
1. Kansas
2. Baylor
3. UT
4. Providence

Kansas and Baylor won’t be in the same region but as a 3 seed, Baylor/Providence as the 2/4 would be amazing. Might mean playing Arizona in a potential E8 matchup but at that point I’m not complaining

I’d be happy to be in either Kansas’ or Baylor’s region.
Definitely. I’d prefer Kansas as the 1 honestly. Obv we’d have to advance further for that to matter but I feel good (relatively) against Purdue Baylor or Duke. There’s no one seed that sticks out as a matchup I wanna see other than Kansas

I’d boil it down to, I don’t want to play Gonzaga or have to beat Arizona twice in a season. Other than that I’m fine

Right, and in BM rn it’s those two, Kansas, and Auburn as the one seeds. So Kansas being the 1 in our region is the only way we avoid having to do those things until the final four, if at all. I’d prefer Arizona again though to Gonzaga, by a good margin

Right now Kentucky can’t be in auburns region so it would most likely put them w Kansas, which then keep us out of that region. Would probably take KY losing to give us a chance of that.

Also, I don’t want to be in a region with Memphis because I don’t want to face a double digit seed with that sort of talent, no matter who their coach is (and also because I don’t think I could handle it well emotionally if they knocked us out of the tourney)

I feel like the committee would do that to us. Fortunately we’re more likely to get Pitt/Buff and Memphis if they aren’t in a play-in would probably have a better chance of Milwaukee/Fort Worth

I guess that’s true. Well that sets up a potentially huge SEC tourney semi-final. Though like you said, might not even matter even if we were to beat them if they don’t lose again before that

Of course Kentucky would come out and destroy LSU after getting clamped down in the 1st half. As much as I dislike Will Wade, we need Kentucky to lose for us to have a shot at the 1 or 2 seed. Luckily they go to Bud Walton next. That place is about to be rockin’ on Saturday.

I just don’t want to play UK again. I’d rather play Auburn
