I can't remember, was Cockburn and Tshiebwe an either/or thing for Kentucky? Both of those two being on the court at the same time would have been scary
Good points. Probably more accurate to say that Kentucky having at least one on the floor for all 40 minutes for every game would be scaryTshiebwe transferred pretty early as I recall he left West Virginia at the end of the first semester last year. But I would think Cockburn did realize that they might take minutes away from each other.
I do see how both on the floor together could be frightening, but I just heard a discussion about this on local radio. Because of how the game is played, hardly anyone plays two true bigs at the same time anymore. Reminded me of one of our lineups with Uros and Fulky? at the same time not being productive. Our late game small lineup has been dynamic. Matt Painter at Purdue has 2 very effective big guys, but he apparently never plays them at the same time due to this. Smaller lineups and spreading the court have just become more effective.
I saw this on another message board. I found it interesting as I did not realize so many schools have had multiple coaches take them to the Final Four. I truly believe we will be on this list within the next 10 years (at least one with Barnes, and then with the next coach).

Hmm. Would you look at that. Andy Katz showing the Vols some love at #9.
Yeah, that is my biggest gripe with them. The NET loves them (#3), though. Just seems odd that the entirety of their résumé is built on beating up on inferior teams, avoiding good teams, and losing to the few you have played.
