College Hoops Around The Country [TN opponents, RPI, others]

Auburn looking like a hot mess again. This has been a trend for the better part of 5 weeks now. They very well might win today, but I just don't see them making a run in March.

Guard play was always a question for them going into the season, which is why they were picked in that 4th-6th range in the SEC by a lot of people pre-season. Well, their guard play has been pretty mediocre for awhile now. I'm not sure why anyone would expect that to magically change next week. Kentucky is definitely the best team in the SEC, not Auburn.
I know I am biased, but I really think Jabari Smith and Walker Kessler made a mistake choosing Auburn over Tennessee. Sure, they are the go to guys on that team, but Auburn’s guards don’t do the best job getting them the ball. It’s easy to think they might get less touches on our team, but I don’t think that would be the case. At the very least, they would get as many touches and have the pressure taken off of them because of our better guard play.

I assume they wanted to be in Bruce's offense that is more loose and willing to fire it up. The problem with that is that the guards have the same green light.

There is no doubt that adding Jabari Smith to KC, ZZ, and SV would be unbelievable.

With those guys, I feel like anything less than a Final 4 would have been a disappointment.

Not sure where else to ask this... can someone explain these Nike March shirts to me?

Why is the "B" in the same color as the "In" text? Is it Be-All-In? If it's "Ball In," why the strange coloring? I can't tell if I'm missing something obvious or if this is just an awful design.

I think it relates to a medical procedure.

I assume it is be-all-in with the double entendre of the word ball. And different colors make it obvious to separate the words.

Regardless, it’s bad design like you said lol. Just trying to be too cute

I'm not so sure a performance like this and the performance of the past 5 weeks that Auburn shouldn't fall to a 3-seed. I know it's about the "body of work" but this team has not looked nor played like a 1 or 2-seed since January.

Auburn basketball results today are way less than their talent. The Pearl “loosey goosey” style is killing this team.

@cncchris33 might have the explanation.

Indiana beats Illinois, meaning the Illini have no realistic way to pass Tennessee on the S-Curve.

I didn't have any feelings regarding Woodson in particular coming into this game (let alone this season), but I really respect his post-game interview humility and composure.

It's final. Indiana wins.

So, Illinois loses. Auburn is almost certainly going to lose. I'm sure our guys are locked in considering how the SEC Tournament ended for us last year, and the embarrassing loss to Oregon State, but man I hope they take this as a precautionary tale and don't underestimate Miss State. Two conference #1 seeds gone in a flash. We need to bring it for 40-minutes today to get the W.
