College Hoops Around The Country [TN opponents, RPI, others]

Duke is going to lose. That’s big for us. Takes them out of consideration for the 1-seed and gives them one less Q1 win. If we take care of business tomorrow, we’ll be in good position for a high 2-seed. Maybe, just maybe, a small chance at a 1.
The best part is that is raining on the Coach K parade.

I’ll be disappointed if we win tomorrow and not get a 2 seed

There’s really no excuse for us not to be a 1 if we win. Most Q1 games played, will have 2nd most Q1 wins, top 5-7 SOS, 4 top 5 wins etc. But somehow we’ll be passed over for a lesser resume.

“3-seed. It’s been decided.”

Lots of good offense in this game. Or bad defense. Can be hard to tell sometimes. UCLA is finding a rhythm on offense but they cannot get a stop to save their life.

Yeah I typed that too soon. Going back and forth. UCLA going to need to find some stops if they want to win this

it's crazy how hard it can be to hang on to leads (and games). For those that didn't see, UCLA was up by as much as 12 in the second half and ended up losing by 8
I've seen it over and over. I knew yesterday that Kentucky was going to make a run, and they did, but thankfully Chandler fixed it.

I just don't see how we aren't a 2 seed if we win tomorrow. That Arizona win should carry a ton of weight, not to mention two wins over UK and several other nice wins.
I’m beyond baffled that Lunardi has us as a 3 seed while “predicting” us as an AQ (meaning we’re obviously SEC champs). There’s not a 2 seed on his lines with a better resume, save maybe Auburn, and we won the head to head and they were the beneficiary of a weak SEC schedule. We’re ahead of every predicted 2 seed in RPI, NET, SOS, Q1 wins, Q1 games played (part of SOS obviously) etc. It doesn’t add up to me.

Purdue - 40th SOS, 6-5 Q1
UK - 13th SOS, 7-7 Q1
Duke - 58th SOS, 4-1 Q1
AU - 34th SOS, 7-3 Q1
UT - 4th SOS, 7-7 Q1 (Colorado dropped yesterday pulling a Q1 win from us)

It’s 🐴 💩

No logical reason we are not a firm 2 at this point.

Tennessee is 10-7 in Q1 games, Colorado is still QQ also.
