College Hoops Around The Country [TN opponents, RPI, others]

Okay maybe I shouldn't have said "easily", fair enough. Now with that said I think they have the best early resume with blowout wins vs Gonzaga and Duke. The FSU game was kinda expected after a long flight across the country just a few days earlier.

I thought Miss St was a second tier SEC team this season? Are they going to challenge for the top spots in the league?

They've played absolutely no one. Let's see how they do against KU Saturday.

Their best win on KenPom is Wichita State at 87, and they are 4-4. The rest are 175 and above with 6 wins against teams ranked 200+.

Mississippi State has two solid wins against Marquette and Utah, but they will need to beat some top SEC teams to get a better resume. Their defense has been great, so that should keep them in games.

Wichita state lost to Alcorn state by 9, who the Vols just beat by 54...

So, what you’re really saying is Mizzou probably stinks? I would imagine that their record belies their true identity. On another comparative score, Ole Miss beat Alcorn by 15.

I mean it's always a red flag when you're 9-0, in a P5 conference, and not ranked in either poll and only got 2 votes in each poll.

The transitive property doesn't always work in sports, and especially college hoops, but sometimes it does...

Don't know if anyone is watching, but Arkansas is losing to a bad UNC Greensboro team 24-17 with 2 minutes left in the 1st half. I'm sure the Hogs will pull away in the 2nd, but right now they look horrible.
There may not be any great teams in the SEC this year. Door is open for us to win some conference hardware.
