College Hoops Around The Country [TN opponents, RPI, others]

Crazy ending to that Ohio State/Rutgers game. Assuming anyone was watching, does anyone think the Ohio State PG might have landed before he passed the ball to the game-winning shooter?

I’m actually in Columbus today and tomorrow for work. I saw the ending of the game, and I’m not so sure you aren’t right about him landing before completing the pass. The biggest issue about why it shouldn’t have counted is the guy who caught the pass came from out of bounds to catch it. He has to fully establish himself back in bounds before he can be the first to touch the ball. He barely had both feet back in when he caught it, so there is no way he was established before the pass was made. Just an officiating blunder, right there.

And as I’m typing this, Tom Crean just addressed the very issue at halftime of the Colorado-Colorado State game.

I did catch others mentioning that as well. Sounds eerily similar to the play Ohio State beat us on in the Elite Eight.

Looked up Grambling schedule and Grambling did beat Colorado 83-74😳😳😳. What a crazy start to men's college basketball!! Vandy also only attempted 18 first half baskets. How is that even possible???

Yep, CU lost to Grambling two days before playing the Vols. That’s a big part of why that loss was thought to be so bad.

Grambling knocked off Vandy 64 62, even with Memorial Magic refs calling 14 2nd half Grambling fouls fouling out 3 of their players. Last 3 home games for VU all 3 games had fouls called with under 3 seconds left. Vandy beat Wofford by 3, Pitt by 1(2 FT with 1 second left to win), and lost to Grambling. Vandy is complete trash. Can Stackhouse get an extension please.

They extended him before the season lol

They are around 50 in NET Rankings which would put them as a Q1 loss, so in grand scheme/resume wise it would be considered a good loss 🤷🏻‍♂️
That’s wild considering they are 5-5. I’m still confused on how NET is determined, is it based on Offense and Defense efficiency and other advanced stats like that?
