College Hoops Around The Country [TN opponents, RPI, others]

The SEC is not getting 2 #1 seeds so how does Alabama winning HELP us? It will still be a big win regardless if we win. Who cares if they are #2 or #10. We need them to lose so we can create some separation.

Also, it’s Alabama. Why would anyone EVER root for Alabama?[/QUOTIt's the SEC/Big 12 challenge. I'm rooting for the SEC.

Missouri up at (basically) halftime.
Alabama down big at halftime.
Houston down big late in 1st half.

If those results hold, would be a hell of a day for us. Big opportunity tonight for the Vols. Hope we don’t play tight like against Kentucky.
Creighton also beat Xavier, today could be huge for us. We gotta win tonight though

I agree hard to see 2 #1s from the SEC so them taking an L today could help us if they beat us but they drop a few more than we do.

It may or may not. Who knows? But we are gonna have to beat them at TBA to finish ahead of them in the pecking order, or so it would seem. A very highly rated Alabama team would give us more credit than one that has dropped some recent games.

Where’s the multiple games? What’s the difference in them being ranked #2 or #5 when they come to Knoxville, the committee isn’t diving that hard into it. A Bama loss today is a great thing for us.

Correct but with a win he's basically saying we can afford another bad loss and we won't drop. If we lose tonight then we gotta worry about losing the 1.
That’s what he said or how you interpreted what he’s saying? Cause I doubt that would be the case without knowing all the results…if we are #4 on seed list and 1-3 win and 5-8 win we aren’t on firm ground even with a win.

True fans root for the following to lose today: UK/Bama/Auburn. Honorable mention for Arkansas.

2pm: Marquette vs. DePaul
2:15pm: Cincinnati vs. Houston

His exact words are " A Tennessee win would solidify a 1 seed for the Vols"

Oklahoma isn't exactly a juggernaut so it's conceivable that it happens again especially if you watched the Miss St game. I'm not even sure how far off our game with them is. I'm too lazy to look up the schedule.

Looking at their schedule I have no confidence in Auburn beating them. Nor Arkansas unless they get NSjr back. After that its just @UT and @TAMU.

Then we’ll worry about them dropping 4-5 games when they’ve dropped 2-3, not 1.
