No way we pass Purdue unless they lose again this week but I think Houston may drop beneath us imoI wouldn’t be shocked if Purdue and Houston don’t move at all, or if just Kansas jumps to #1 if they win out. Purdue and Houston had some distance on the rest of the Top 10 so I could see them staying where they are.
Well, I have. They have played one top 25 team, Baylor and lost by 6. They also lost to App. St. But, I think they will finish 3rd in the SEC, behind our Vols and UK.Auburn’s schedule looks pretty light. Haven’t compared it to ours/UKs but but they could very well go 15-3. They have a good defense.
I meant their remaining schedule vs ours/UKs. I don’t think Arkansas will be so terrible later in the schedule so I think they were fortunate with that one to get them early. Then they have @bama, @UF and @here. I see them taking care of business for the rest +/- 1. Maybe UGA could prove to be difficult, same for us as well.Well, I have. Gotcha. I think Ole Miss is a lot better than they looked against UT. Still, Auburn is a NCAA lock, probably around a 4 seed and has a great chance to make a Sweet 16, imoI meant their remaining schedule vs ours/UKs. I don’t understand why Auburn feels the need to showboat after ever single play. It’s corny. KD Johnson will literally make a layup and then stare down the opposing bench. Idk, it may just be me
Ole Miss is definitely going to improve going through SEC play. They added Brandon Murray and I think one other guy due to the 2 time transfer ruling so they’ll have to gel.Gotcha. Yea I don’t see us passing either team unless they lose again this seem…however with that said, still great great for us. Those were 2 teams currently projected ahead of us that lost games they weren’t expected to, opens the door a bit more to eventually pass them.I wouldn’t be shocked if Purdue and Houston don’t move at all, or if just Kansas jumps to #1 if they win out. While I do agree that KD is the most noticeable and the one who does it the most, I will argue that Caldwell and Broome do it often as well. However, I really don’t have a problem with it, just kids having fun for the most part but it can look kind of corny to do it as often as they do. Just my 2 centsWell firstly, I would argue it’s mainly only KD Johnson that acts like. Rest of Auburn doesn’t really act much more overly “showboat-like” than pretty any other team (or at least certainly not as often as your post claims).
Even as an Auburn fan, I have a love-hate relationship with KD. I think he overdoes it (obviously), often to annoying douche proportion levels, and often makes dumb mistakes because of it. Though on the other hand, his ferocity and attitude can be a damn game changer with the crowd/atmosphere when he does happen to be on his a-game. He could certainly handle himself a bit better though.
This has always been the trend for Purdue though. 4th time in the last 2 year they have lost to an unranked team while being #1. First program in history to lose to a 13 seed or higher in 3 consecutive NCAAT. That program always seems to get the benefit of the doubt but has never really shown why they actually deserve it. Everyone saw them as the most likely #1 seed to get knocked out early last tournament. They are too centered around 1 player and that’s why they always get tripped up.Yea I don’t see us passing either team unless they lose again this seem…however with that said, still great great for us. It should also serve as a reminder to everyone, looking at you casuals/drive-by’s, that road games in conference are never to be taken for granted.
I don’t disagree, much like Virginia was years ago, but doesn’t mean they don’t warrant those high seeds based off their resume. This has always been the trend for Purdue though. 4th time in the last 2 year they have lost to an unranked team while being #1.
