College Hoops Around The Country [TN opponents, RPI, others]

Are you saying Bruce showboats after every bucket? He's usually yelling at every player to get the heck back and sweating gallons. He then usually uses post-game press conferences to lavish endless praise on the opponent (sometimes to annoying levels)

I just enjoy taking a shot at Bruce because he kind of acts like a cartoon character these days

Well firstly, I would argue it’s mainly only KD Johnson that acts like. Rest of Auburn doesn’t really act much more overly “showboat-like” than pretty any other team (or at least certainly not as often as your post claims).

Even as an Auburn fan, I have a love-hate relationship with KD. I think he overdoes it (obviously), often to annoying douche proportion levels, and often makes dumb mistakes because of it. Though on the other hand, his ferocity and attitude can be a damn game changer with the crowd/atmosphere when he does happen to be on his a-game. He could certainly handle himself a bit better though.

Thought about liking your post, but then I thought it was funny that you're at 666 likes, and I didn't want to deprive you of the number of the beast

It comes from the top
Nope, I respectfully disagree. Bruce does not impart that to the players.
Bruce is not a show boat - the is showy and creates public likability with marketing stunts and gimmicks. (Pizza anyone???)

On the flip side he does not try to curb it...as long as it does not hurt the team. That quality is based solely on the nature of the players recruited and the environment that allows or encourages it to exist. That part is on BP. I am not a fan of Pearl's tactics and I'm glad he is at Auburn.

A lot of top 5 teams have lost this week. If Xavier comes back and defeats U Conn, all 5 will take it on the chin. Playing on the road seems to be a killer this year

And…?

That doesn’t mean he does it after every single play like the post suggested lol
Cardwell runs down the court like he just scored the winning goal of the World Cup after almost every basket. It’s okay that it fires up Auburn’s fans. It’s also corny as hell that so much of the team does it for 40 minutes.
