College Hoops Around The Country [TN opponents, RPI, others]

UGA doesn’t have the guard play that has given us fits but they’ve got as talented of size inside as probably any SEC team...gonna take a solid effort to get the win.

So the big blue has lost four in a row I wonder when's the last time that has happened? And below is the remaining schedule. and it looks kind of tough if you ask me.

Sat 17 Alabama 2:00 Tickets
Tue 20 @Arkansas 9:00 Tickets
Sat 24 Missouri 12:00 Tickets
Wed 28 Ole Miss

Calipari hadn't lost 4 in a row since 2005 at Memphis. Gillespie started 7-9 one year so he may have lost 4 in a row.

The flu bug is rampant on the Railsplitters team right now. 5 out due to sickness or as precaution. Still, the bench guys took care of Hiwassee rather easily. I wish I had film of an attempted dunk by Steven Perriere one of our back up big guys. He's one of my favorite players and just kind of amusing to know. He was on a break out and went up to jam it but somehow the ball rimmed out. He was still hanging on the rim with one hand ahd with those long arms he reached out and grabbed the ball with one hand and jammed it back through. It was funny to see him with one hand on the rim hanging there and grabbing the ball and deliberately jamming it back through with the other. No basket of course but an LOL was had by all.

Lincoln Memorial University- Short-handed Railsplitters blow out Hiwassee 109-69

BTW, t.o. to asst. ratio in this game was 30 to 6. We share the ball!!!

I have to be a KY fan through 2/24. I'm taking 3 showers per day this week... I feel dirty.

The best excuse I can come up with is that this season is a perfect storm. Cal's youngest (I'm sure this hasn't been said before) and worst team coinciding with the best SEC in years. I can't even say we're losing to bad teams. UT is legit. Auburn is legit. Texas A&M is legit. Alabama and even Missouri are decent with great players like Sexton and Porter(s).

Agreed.

Best deepest SEC in years

3 big games tonight:

Cincy at Houston
OSU at Penn State
Arizona at Arizona St

This is only one of 2 remaining games that I think Cincy has a realistic change of losing. The other being at WSU.

OSU and Arizona are both underdogs

It helps that coaches in the SEC have been able to get really good players where they can compete on a consistent basis.

Hell, even Vandy is recruiting well.

Yeah, it's nice to see the quality of players go up. Almost every single team has players I would love UK to have. Not usually the case.

Arkansas too for me. They're only 2 games back and have the tie breaker. TN is 3 ahead of KY and have the head-to-head tie breaker.

True, wasn't looking that far back in the standings. Honestly, except for hating UK, we really should probably cheer for then to win out given we played and beat them twice. We need those two wins to be as strong as possible.
