Same thing happening with Missouri that happened to us. Can't buy a 3 ( 3-13).Watching Kentucky struggle to throw it in the ocean against some of the good teams they’ve played when they filled it up against us twice is just so frustrating lol.
I don't see it. Having to shoot 50+ percent from 3 is not a recipe for a deep run. Especially when you most likely need to also count on the opposing team to shoot bad.If UK defends in the tournament like they did that half, they’re going to go deep.
Major if though. That team has been as consistent as an aerosol spray can defensively.
Well they are 3rd in the country in 2 point percentage.I don't see it. Having to shoot 50+ percent from 3 is not a recipe for a deep run. Especially when you most likely need to also count on the opposing team to shoot bad.
They have a good 2 pt percentage because they take so many 3's. That's less 2 point misses.Well they are 3rd in the country in 2 point percentage.
I just don’t trust them not to give up a 60 point half here even after Mizzou put up just 29 in the first
Not really. They just gain confidence when the 3 is dropping at a high clip. Especially, when the other team is missing. Thye struggle from the 3 (or the other team shoots a good 3) and they will be bounced. When there’s something at stake Kentucky is a different team. They’ll be a tough out in the NCAAT.
So you’re saying they’re a first round exit? I’ll take that bet.Not really. They just gain confidence when the 3 is dropping at a high clip. Especially, when the other team is missing. Thye struggle from the 3 (or the other team shoots a good 3) and they will be bounced.
That said, if you shoot 8-23 from 3 and Kentucky shoots 11-20, they most likely beat you.
Interesting that both Bilas and Greenberg on Gameday were given the option to take Duke, Auburn, or the Field to win the national title. Both said they would take the Field, and Bilas even mentioned the Vols, Alabama, Florida, and others who could very well win the whole thing. Right now we are the 5th (tied w/Bama) betting choice behind Auburn, Duke, Houston, & Florida.
They also discussed the validity of getting rest by not winning the SEC Tourney. Jay Williams said you absolutely want to win every game if you're a player & coach, while the others agreed but also acknowledged a loss in the SECT doesn't hurt anyone.
Agreed. Win every game you play. Almost nobody except a vocal minority of fans are afraid of a team being too tired for the biggest event of the season.I think our teams are going to be seeded high enough that this whole conference tournament fatigue is a moot point.
First of all, your first game may be Friday. Secondly, do you really expect to not handle business against the 16 or 15 seed?
First round? Why would I think a top 25 team goes out first round? So you’re saying they’re a first round exit? I’ll take that bet.
They only shot 40% in their win vs Duke and 28% in their win vs Gonzaga. Both at neutral sites.
