Colts and #1 draft pick

If manning goes, so does half of their fan base! They won't like the idea of losing all those ticket sales, merchandise, etc. Answer this, how many people have a colts jersey with out 18 on the back of it?

If one player leaving means you lose your fan base, then you dont have a very strong fan base. Worked out okay for the Packers.

Most everyone they would lose, would be the bandwagon Vols/Colts fans. I think they will be just fine.

I'd like to see em pick up Griffin III .. Hes deff what they need as a QB.. Luck is just too over hyped as an NFL qb, and I personally think Griffin is just a better QB. Give him a year or two under Peyton and he'll be a stud.

This.

Being a fan of a player is fine, but the jumping from team to team when that player goes somewhere else is the very definition of being a lame bandwagoner.

Manning is finished. He will retire rather than risk his mobility and quality of life playing for another team.

Manning's likely got anywhere from 2 or 3-5 good years left, barring a serious complication we haven't been informed about yet

The bigger discussion amongst their fans needs to be somewhat with coaching but much moreso forcing that joke of a GM and his brother out

Chris Polian is Bill's son, not brother.

Luck will be the pick, Peyton is likely out.

A trade for Peyton is very unlikely. He will most likely be cut, the ball is in Peyton's court to some degree because of his bonus.

i like certain players but dont care for the team. big fan of Aaron Rodgers and if he went somewhere else i would still be his fan. same with some basketball players. i dont think if you follow a player you like to another team is being a bandwagoner. its just means you like the player more than you do the team.

Colts need to get rid of the Polians and Jim Caldwell above all else. What an embarrassing season!

As far as the draft goes, we should at least consider drafting RG III (assuming he's going pro).

Exactly. Most Colts fans in Tennessee are barnacles on Petting Manning's undercarriage and will follow him wherever he goes. I am sure that some have bonded with the team and will be fans for life, but that isn't the majority. The Colts will be fine without a lot of their state of Tennessee fans. It has a lot to do with Tennessee formerly having no professional sports teams and fans just following individual players due to the lack of a local or state team. This, of course, is no offense to actual Colts fans.

No thank you. Luck is like Manning with wheels.

I think RG3 will be a better QB.

The thing that scares you with RG3 is the system that he was in at Baylor. With spread QB's like RG there is always worry that he won't be able to make that change to an NFL system.

With Luck, you know exactly what you are getting. He is NFL ready.

Not saying who will be the best QB over the long haul, but I definitely draft Luck if I'm no.1.

Didn't really mean that as in you can't be a fan of certain players and keep up with them. Like I said, nothing wrong with that. I was more or less talking about the % of people that call themselves fans of "Team x" because of a certain player.....yet when that player moves and signs with "Team y" those same people forget about all about "x" and instead claim their newfound loyalties to "y".

I will remain an X fan, but likely pull for team Y as my B team while player M is on the roster.
