Fair enough...no point in trying to win this argument.

I've just never seen such a lack of class exuded by a student athlete on the field (minus big rivalry games). No doubt Clausen was completely vindicated by bringing home a vol victory, but he would have been the better man to celebrate with his team rather then go out of the way to taunt a student body consisting of a majority that weren't even attending LSU when he was wearing purple and gold.

I know the majority of you will disagree with me on this because of your inherent biases (I completely understand), but hey, I'd rather bitch about something else besides our poor performance  :fool:

Hey dude, I don't think he went over and beat the windows out of the LSU staff bus like the "Saintly" students at LSU did to the Tennessee bus today. Take it like a man and go suck a lemon!!!

Well that guy is a fairweather fan. Either that or a bad journalist. Maybe both.

I'm not going to let this game get me down. Coming off a loss to Florida I'm sure you guys felt pretty down, but look how you guys bounced back. I hope we can do the same.

Well said Logan. Now focus your energies on Florida. We'll take care of Georgia. :post-20645-1119625378:

Classic blind judgment

I've never said anything flagrantly negative about TN. Sure I like to tease you guys, but my intent isn't to make you mad.

After the way they treated Clausen at LSU (students and fans, and to a lesser extent Saban and the assistants), they deserved it. I have no idea why Fayton would be there.

He said 49-0???? Well, they were almost halfway there (21-0) so that's really gotta make it worse for them.

You expect a group of college kids to be saints? Take off your orange glasses for a second.

So the LSU team isn't made up of college kids? UT's is. Take of your disappointment glasses and take the loss with class - or are you just an irresponsible college kid too?

That wasn't directed at you. It was directed towards your student section. Sorry, should have been more specific.

I could give a rat's ass what Clausen did after the game. It's not like he pulled a Randy Moss or something.

No stomping on the eye of the tiger, or flicking people off. I've seen all of that happen at UT from opposing players.

Anyway, where ya at, LSUFreak? Come get yer medicine.

In my years of following of following LSU football, I never saw an act equivalent to the one Clausen/Fayton made. Probably because Saban was such a hard ass.

I assume that one primary goal of coaches is to groom their student athletes to be the best they can be. I'm sure CPF believes in this too. Certainly their actions aren't on his mind right now, but I don't think he would condone such action. At least I hope he doesn't.

And I don't think I'm wearing "disappointment glasses." I'm not making excuses for our loss. What's the point. I just wanted to point out my disappointment in your two players.

Maybe you weren't in Knoxville the last time LSU was here? I sure was... and BEFORE the game, I got more garbage from those VISITORS than almost anyone... and then after the game... (we won a tight one folks) OMG! Those disappointed fans decided to try and take it out on us... give me a break. Those students dished it, they just got it back. Turnabout is fair play...

Actuallly yes. I'm only a recent convert. I never really cared about football till I experienced "the magic" of attending an LSU football game. So I know my quarrel is pretty petty, but it's just something that irked me. Go ahead, laugh all you want. :wink2:

Nice work by your college kids fans work on the UT bus. I'm sure Les Miles doesn't condone it.

Hey, there's nothing wrong with that. Happens to people and different teams everywhere. How would you like to become of Vol? We are accepting applications. Come over to the bright orange side.... :naughty:

So it's orange glasses to say it was a heat of the moment gesture by college kids that just pulled of a huge comeback? What about the atmosphere in which it happened? Maybe you haven't followed LSU long enough. LSU fans have a history of taking things to the extreme. Tonight appears no different. Is it a surprise that there might be a reaction? No yellow/purple shades here?

Your first post in reaction to the loss was a qualified congratulations (well neither team played good) and a condemnation of our postgame actions. Yet, we're the ones not looking at things objectively?

1. I have no quarrel with fans. I know LSU's horrible reputation when it comes fanfare. However, the LSU players, from what I have have seen, have exhibited plenty of class. When we beat our rivals Auburn/Ole Miss, the players don't rub the victory in their face.

2. I'm not quite following your second point?

Ole Miss is your rival??? Better find some better rivals... are you SURE Auburn knows you are rivals? They may say different with UGA and Wahlabama.

Ole Miss is our traditional rival, as is Tulane, however we all know that they haven't done much of anything in a long time.

I'm sure alot of Auburn fans would tell you we are their rivals. A new one, though. Since the Saban era, the west tends to be decided by either Auburn or LSU.

My second point is that you're original post discounted the victory and you made a point of highlighting a "molehill" (in your own words). I assume it was influenced by a disappointing loss - very understandable -but I thought it was ironic that you then choose to accuse others of having a slanted view.
