Come On SEC

I'd rather they leave it alone. 16 teams is too much. If anything add FSU and be done with it. We don't need Clemsuck or the show me fools.

So let me get this straight from what I have red about this whole situation is Texas A&M is pist at Texas for the whole tv deal. So they get the bright ideal we mad we are going to bolt for the SEC. That doesn't sound to smart. You can't win in the Big 12 what makes you think you can come to the SEC and do any better. Do you guys actually think this is going down. :whatever:

It's not about wins. It's about equal sharing of revenue, which the SEC does. A&M is tired of Texas making millions more than anyone else in the so-called Big 12 Conference. Now Texas has their own network, which is the last straw.

You also want to have 1st pick of the girls at the dance, IMO. Better to be proactive than reactive. They hosed the mergers last year, we don't need to sit around for them to get it right. I'm not a fan of picking up MO or good teams in states we are already in. VT to me makes too much sense. Even picking up a TT team makes more sense to me than MO.

Pick who we want and let the other conferences have the left overs.

Its all about the revenues. A&M is attracted to the SEC because of the way the money is split up. Not sure if any of the other schools have that problem and need to join the SEC. If you are afraid to play other schools, maybe you need to look at why you are a fan.

The people on here that are"scared" of FSU,get a grip. After they get their heads busted going through an SEC slate, they will be no better than the teams we already play.I say bring it!!!!

Those guys can't play a full SEC schedule. They are small and fast.

Virginia or W. Virginia would open up that state. Is there any reason to try a global take over. Is the SEC Enron or what.

A&M - NC or NC State - Virginia or Virginia Tech or West Virginia and one more would be great (perhaps Louisville) Bring em on, we can and will beat em all

People have overlooked the the whole matter of the post BEING SCARED OF FSU is not the point. Killing the traditions of the SEC is the point. No more Auburn Georgia, Tenn BAMA. These games mean something without them the conference will suck itself dry.
It will get to big and games will just be games not the passion like Auburn and BAMA.

Money and greed will end up killing College Football mark it down. College football if not careful will end up like the NFL money money money and no passion in the games they play and yes their is some passion in the NFL don't get me wrong, but like College Football it is not even close.

It's heading that way now. I don't think they're listening , visions of dollar signs dancing in their heads.

It could be good or bad. Almost certainly some long standing rivalries will not be on a yearly basis anymore, that part is disappointing. Can't we just fire Slive and be done with him?

I do not like this one bit. We are the SEC, the best conference in college football. WHY should we open the door for others? I personally think Mike Slive needs to go, he is killing us with scholarship limits, now he wants to add to a perfect situation.

Texas A&M?? If i would be for any other teams coming in, it would be Ga Tech and maybe UNC. They are southern schools, Texas A&M and Missouri are not. Florida State had their chance years ago and they did not want to play ball every week.
Leave the SEC alone Mike Slive!

If you are going to be the best , you've got to BEAT the best!! FSU, Clemson, TX A&M, better be scared of the TENNESSEE VOLS!! You can be AFRAID if you want to be but I am excited about the direction of our program and there isn't a school in the U.S.A that makes me AFRAID!!! BRING IT!!!! GO VOLS!!!:banghead2:

I would hate to see the SEC diluted. The only reason to do this would be to bring in money from big markets. It will mean that fewer SEC teams will compete for the NC because more teams are involved. Weaker conferences will have more teams playing in the mix while the good SEC teams eliminate each other. In the end money will talk, but I don't believe it is good for college football.

FSU joining wouldn't be the end of the world. They can only recruit 25 players a year etc... USCw has been recruiting massive amounts of 5 stars for years and they still suck. I for one seeing it being a disadvantage to FSU since they wouldn't be playing creampuffs every week. The SEC has and always will be a meat grinder.

If there is one thing i'm sure the SEC is not concerned about, its money. The SEC is fine just the way it is, I see no reason to do any of this.

Those who are against expansion are just afraid of the consequences, no different when Arkansas and South Carolina were added. They haven't been powerhouses over the years, howeer, they have recently gotten a lot better. Competition does that. It also makes for a stronger conference and a tougher Conference Champion to beat for the NC. An A&M addition would be a good thing for the SEC, and eventually (aside from the money) for them. Who else to add? I'd like to see OK but I don't think they will go. I would be fine with Missouri, Virginia, VT, West Virginia, or FSU. I don't think we should add Clemson though. As it is in the SEC, if you can get through the season with only two SEC losses, you've done quite a bit because the conference is so tough. That's also what makes the SEC so exciting, you never know where those upsets are going to come from. In the SEC, you need to bring your A game every week or you're going to get run over.

A&M trying to enter the SEC reminds me of that "not so cool kid" in high school, he wants to hangout with all the cool kids but they already have a full group of friends. They'll hang with him if he gets a sweet car to drive them around in(Texas tv market) If not he'll go back to playing the gathering with his old friends(the big 12) Either way, he's just kind of a dork

First thing I thought when I read the first line was that the SEC was actually adding 16 teams.

A 28-team MEGACONFERENCE.
