I didn't do an elaborate prediction like this but my pick was a soft 6-6 with a win coming against either UGA or USCe...which happened. The biggest bust for me this year was losing to Mizzou. But in my defense, they came out of nowhere.

Not bad...I'll take your prediction all day.

He had us at 9-3 i think, nothing wrong with an optimistic outlook just hope the disappointment isnt to hard on him

False. The best I could have possibly seen us do this year was 8-4 and that was pushing it. I felt like 6-6 or 7-5 at absolute best was more realistic.

I were more lost with Worley starting instead of Riley F. or J. Dobbs.

I don't see how many people think Dobbs or Ferguson is going to start right out of the gate in 2014. Worley really started improving before he got hurt and his experience, maturity and leadership among the rest of the offense is too valuable to have a player who has never seen a snap in college football and a rising sophomore who has limited experience with lower success than Worley had.

Worley starts against Utah State to start the season. Book it.

Week 5: The Vols continue their road game stretch heading into Athens for a rematch of the thriller overtime loss at Neyland in 2013. Without Andy Murray, the Bulldogs will lean on Hutson Mason at quarterback. Mason showed signs of potential in the last game of the 2013 season coming back to beat rival Georgia Tech and with an offseason under Coach Mark Richt, he will be just fine in time. But to say he will be top notch by week 4 is a little much. The Vols defense really steps up in this game. Sutton gets a pick six as the defense causes 4 total turnovers. Hurd gets 120 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns while Lane adds another 80 yards rushing as well. The Georgia defense canÂ’t keep up with TennesseeÂ’s fast-paced offense and the Bulldogs are upset in Athens. Vols win 28-17.

I love it! It is possible and to those who are saying the OP is insane for his predictions, how many of you thought Auburn would be in the NC at the beginning of this season?

Well it's just that every time recently we have predicted breakout seasons, we've ended up sorely disappointed. I won't go as far as 9-4 (for now) but I could see 7-6 or maybe 8-5.

Well if we're going to call someone insane for their predictions let's at least do it only when the predictions are far more stellar than that. If you're gonna dream: DREAM BIG!

I guess I feel like Georgia and USCe without their star QB's really hurt them. And more than anything else I am extremely high on our receivers. People were concerned (including myself) about our receivers and next season I truly believe we will have one of the best receiver groups in the SEC. Kudos CBJ.

This offense DON'T fits Worley!!! Butch Jones had to used less play book because of him. CBJ wanted to redshirt both Ferguson and Dobbs. When Peterman and Worley both got hurts he didn't have choice buy to burn Dobbs's redshirt because Ferguson were also hurt. Worley is more of the pro style type QB...not a read option offense QB!!! :salute:

I am well aware bro! By all means Dobbs or Fergy fits better. But that doesn't mean they are automatically the better man for the job. Worley will be the starter because of his experience and the respect he has from the team. I'd even bet a crisp, clean 5 dollar bill on it.

I actually agree with you, and I said on VN before the start of the season that Worley would be the QB, Peterman would get backup work, and that we wouldn't see the freshmen, unless the starters were hurt. Several scoffed at the idea. It was Dobbs this, Ferguson that.

I agree on your QB Worley will start he was clearly our best option and I think we best Vandy last year becausd Worley could have went down field more and not turn the ball over early. Also 7-5 and 8-4 is very possible Florida, UGA and USCe will define our season, and I think we will make a game out of Oklahoma next year.
