...they have lost both road trips thus far (Auburn & FL), scored a combined 13 pts on the road, and have only beaten pedestrian teams at home. Beaten them badly, yes, but those team have a 17-30 record.

Still, I'm concerned, but...

I'm concerned about our defensive line, that's about it.

LSU schedule Arizona and Fresno State. One would have that they would have been better. USL and Tulane were jokes. The tigers haven't beaten anyone.

All that says to me is that they have their backs to the wall. Our D will have to play its best game.

i am worried about our wounded qb playing a very fast defense and the possibility of a freshman playing one of the best secondarys in the country. that and our d-line getting pressure on russell, but also keeping him in the pocket. lsu seems due for a big win and we seem due for a loss.

Its weird, but in some ways I feel the same. I guess its that I take a look at the team and say "is this a 11-1 team?" and then I think with a weak running game, so dependent on the pass, and weak up the middle on defense...10-2. The question is if we get that loss here or next week.

LSU has only played TWO road games this whole season?
Both to top-10 teams on the road. Tennessee will be the third, and if Arkansas keeps winning they might be in the top-10 when LSU finishes the season against them.

All four road games against a Top-10 team. This is why preseason predictions for LSU were 9-3. It is very difficult to win on the road versus the SEC top tier. It is equally hard to win on the road against a top-10 team.

Still, those road games are because they have to. That was my point.

And I still maintain Arkansas is wildly overrated.

Now I know this sounds crazy, but I think UT is due for a HUGE game. I think at any moment you could see the UT o-line come together on run blocking(although I'm feeling that it's the backs and not the line giving UT fits). I also see how Tenn could be past due for a b*#*#-slapping. Fact is, only saturday will tell. Hell, I never figured on the Cal game OR the USAFA game being what they were.:ermm:

i hope you're right seeing as how we got to their place next week....check out an ark game if you get a chance....they started off sluggish, and still won against Bama and Vandy...probably played the two worst games of the year, in conference anyway, and still won. thoroughly have beaten down everyone else.

it'll be interesting to see that ARK/USC game this weekend.
