I take exception to "the only decent team" being Florida. Texas is a decent team. Michigan is a decent team. Notre Dame and Penn State are probably decent teams.
When they played, TX was not a decent team although they did gel later. Michigan and ND were exposed for their weaknesses in bowl game beat downs. I put Michigan and ND in the same over-hyped bucket with OSU. And you're joking about PSU, right? The fact that UT lost to PSU will cause me pain until September 1.
Are you confusing decent with good, or top 10? There are over 100 teams in D1A football .... decent would be anything in top 60-30 to me. Good in the top 25, great in the top 10. Tennessee is somewhere between decent and good. Penn State is decent. I know that people exact definitions of decent can vary...but I think you are misusing the word to say that Texas was not AT LEAST decent when they played OSU ... or ND....or Michigan .... or PSU.
