I'm just saying give him a chance. We have talent on this team on both sides of the ball. Sure we have holes, and needs but the cubbard is far from bare.

Hey I'm right there with you on giving the guy a chance. I was just stating why I think so many on here are upset by the hire. I will support him as the coach of the Vols until he gives me a reason not to.

I learned not to trust people's judgement on here and ignore the *****ing. Many of the same posters were up-in-arms when they though we were going to hire Brian Kelly before we got Kiffin. They were wrong then and they could very well be wrong this time.

People just need to give the guy a chance and see what happens until he gives us a reason not to do so. I think after the smoke clears and the initial shock wears of that many on here with do the same.

I will take a coach who has won his Conference"s championship and WANTS to coach at Tennessee than some dude who has the big name and does not want to coach at Tennessee. The guy is a sold coach and he will do well here unless our dismal fan base and biased media creates the same negative atmosphere they did with Fulmur, and Dooley. Both groups can help the coaching atmosphere here, but history and the reaction this morning seems to indicate any new coach will have an uphill fight. For the sake of my University and football program, I plead for both to act as if they are mature and support Coach Jones. Lets pull together for the success of Tennessee rather than look for every you can find to undermine our University,
