McCain crashed 3 navy planes during his career and it's controversial whether he started the fire on the USS Forrestal. He was a douche bag on the senate floor and quite frankly I'm glad he's dead.

It’s debatable whether he’s a hero or not but his military service shouldn’t be criticized. His time as a politician however should be demonized and rightly or wrongly overshadows his military service.
