I agree I’m tired of seeing them do this to teams. This game going on right now is a sea of green and Missippi State is 3 time zones off their normal schedule.
I’m not opposed to the games in the Sweet 16 on all being played in the same place. Somewhere neutral like Denver or Vegas.

Right, so nobody attends and the womens tourney which loses over 10M/year now loses even more money b/c of decreased attendance. Not man people aren't flying all over the country and then to the final 4 if their team makes it. WCBB isn't like MCBB, where the men can turn out general fans to the game. This is why WCBB has 1st/2nd round on campus, while men have neutral sites and can still draw massive crowds. Even being on campus the attendance at many schools was poor and some of the regional site Sweet 16 for the women were not good. NCAA does things this way for a reason and until WCBB has the draw of the general public and not just fan bases they will continue.
Exactly.Guess you were so passionate you needed to say it twice. Slow your roll bud. Just making a point that it makes no sense to reward the #2 seeds.

It's not rewarding, it's logistics of the sites in a particular year. For example Baylor is #1 overall, but there is no site remotely close to Baylor this year. 2020 and 2021 Baylor can potentially go to final 4 staying in state. 2021 Texas could potentially go to final 4 staying in Austin and then the final 4 is in San Antonio. Notre Dame has the same in state logistics as Baylor, while 2020 the closest site to UConn is Indiana.
2020 Regionals - Dallas, Fort Wayne, Greensboro(SC), Portland
2021 Regionals - Albany, Austin, Cincy, Spokane
2022 Regionals - Bridgeport, Greenboro(NC), Spokane, Wichita
Exactly.
Only the #1 seeds should be rewarded with virtual home games.
And, not to worry about UConn women’s fans.
They are just like UK men’s fans. They will follow their team anywhere across the country.
Wrong. So, to do that you have to pick the regional sites after you seed teams...LOL. The regional sites are picked years in advance, it will never fit the "interesting" views of people like you.
Wrong.
Put all four one seeds in the bracket as close as possible to their home city.
Then do not put any 2-16 teams in a bracket regional host within 200 miles of their home city.
Yes, attendance may drop a little at the four regionals. But, not by much.
You still get the top four seeds hosting the first two rounds.
But you make the regionals much more fair especially to the #1 seeds that earned it.
Again missing my point. No #1 wants to drop to a #2...UL would rather be a #1 then play a higher ranked team #2 overall seed in the elite 8. Miss ST woud rather be a #1 in the west than play the #1 overall seed in the elite 8.
Again missing my point.
I have no problem with where the one seeds were sent.
It’s the two seeds that were sent to the wrong regions this year.
UConn as a two didn’t merit Albany.
Oregon as a two didn’t merit Portland.
Protect your one seeds, NCAA. Otherwise, teams like Louisville and Miss State play virtual road games in the Elite 8 as they did this year.
