I figured that. It was just a playful jab for not checking the NCAA forum before posting. No harm intended. It is news, and to me, it's good news. I wish it were 8, but I'll take 4, and I wish they would separate from the bowls and open the semis for bidding. But, the bottom line is that we finally have a playoff.

S.O.S. This morning Mike & Mike were already taking potshots at the new playoff system. It will not be the answer, nor will any other scheme IMO. The BCS WORKED EVERY YEAR. Thanks, Roy Cramer. UT Vols will ever be the first BCS Champion.

Because the coaches, ADs, and presidents would never agree to jumping from 13/14 games to a possible 18.

You're probably not going to realistically see anything like that unless the number
of regular season games gets cut back
