While I understand there’s gonna be a lot of this talk. I think Venables actually had a great game plan. Even down to the grass length on the field . While you may look at it as a bad thing, I believe Josh is being conservative because he’s already seen Dayne Davis give up 2 sack fumbles which had our defense in horrible situations. Luckily our defense got us out of those situations, but there’s no reason to make things harder for your defense when they just forced a QB to get benched. Our OL injuries + Venables game plan just makes it hard for him to do that. It also means he’s grown as a head coach. Sometimes you have to win the smart way.

And that game was the most physical we’ve played since prob Georgia game. Thankfully our defense was just as physical!

Oline struggling is what caused it imo. He let the defense do their thing and scaled back the offense to minimize turnover risk.

A road win is always great. But the offensive woes still leave a little sour taste.
