Not saying I disagree but if we have to use corporal punishment at home as an attention grabber, what should the teacher use? During the school year they spend more time with the children than us.

I probably would have phrased that a tad differently but I’m right there with you. I got a paddling as a sophomore in high school when I was the starting center on the varsity football team. 😂

It happened when I was in elementary school… I don’t know, personally I don’t trust strangers to make the appropriate determination/usage.

I'll go one further.

How many had the - "If I find out you had to get a whooping at school, you're getting another one when I get home" - dad?

That was some 🐃💩 !

Thankfully in high-school they didn't make us have our parents sign a write-up after a paddling like they did in elementary school.

My senior year I had him for biology first period and we had to sit in assigned seats. The girl that sat beside me would come in every morning and start touching up her make up and etc.. One day before class she came in and put her purse on the desk and went back out into the hall. I reached into one of the aquariums he had in his room and pulled out a crawfish and put it in her purse. It was one of those small clutch types.
As soon as class started…. Like clockwork she opens her purse … reaches in to pull out her compact and lipstick… and screams bloody murder and throws her purse backwards up over her head.
It was awesome 😁. Everyone in class was laughing and asking wth

When youngest daughter started school they informed us they still had spanking, I replied I still had litigation and would use it if they ever touched her. Never came up again.

My parents were in the category of "if he does something to deserve a spanking, call us and we'll come do it". I never did anything to deserve a spanking though. If I had kids, I think I'd feel the same. Not against spanking kids, but I think it should come from family.

I should say I never did anything at school to deserve a spanking. I got my fair share for things I did away from school.
