Why You Shouldn't Spank Your Kids – Cleveland Clinic
Spare the rod spoil the child seemed to work for millennia.
I used to get ass whippings in school on a regular basis, but I got at least two belt lashings from my dad every week thanks to my mom and her, "go to your room and just wait for your father to come home" threat. Then dad would come home and I'd hear my mother lay into him when he walked in the door and then the dreaded stomp down the hall to my bedroom as the belt was being ripped off his pants.
Yep. The dreaded father trade of continuing to take abuse from your pissed off wife versus simply beating your male child senseless without really knowing why. We kids lose that one every time and I completely understand why.I used to get ass whippings in school on a regular basis, but I got at least two belt lashings from my dad every week thanks to my mom and her, "go to your room and just wait for your father to come home" threat. At least by half a dozen teachers and coaches. One of the most feared was in 7th grade, probably 67 or 68, and she was a hottie too, but was not slow to break out her perforated paddle for a smartass like me.Just out of curiosity, how many posters on here have been on the receiving end of a school spanking? I got one in high school in 1974 for fighting.
My mom was pretty petite, and after I was about 8 or 9 I was too stupid to not laugh at her when she tried to spank me.
