Cotton Bowl - Florida vs Oklahoma

Going to have to expand the playoffs, at least to 8 teams. College basketball doesn't have this problem because more teams get into the NCAAT, and nobody would really care if players decided to skip out on the NIT. And most of these bowls are pretty much the NIT for college football.

Bowls are a pretty outdated concept anyway, and ever since the BCS more and more bowls have become less interesting to anyone. And that toothpaste isn't going back in the tube.
Here’s what I don’t get...why didn’t the BCS (which created a bonafide national title game for the first time) not cheapen the other bowls, but adding just one more layer (a semifinal, then a final) render the other bowls worthless? I mean, under the old system you couldn’t win a title if you weren’t #1 or #2, but teams outside the top 2 still seemed to care about the other bowls.

I don’t disagree at all that guys don’t care about non-playoffs bowls now, but why didn’t that attitude exist with the BCS? Seems like there’s been a culture change as well.

Florida is gonna get rolled and could care less about this game but don’t forget that we have never or will never beat Dan Mullen

I actually do feel bad for Trask. Many of his teammates don’t want to be there, and Trask has NFL prospects too. It isn’t like he’s got nothing to lose.

I greatly enjoy watching FL getting blown out but I kind of hate it for Trask.

This cant be helping his NFL prospects.
