In bowl games, the underdog wins more often than not. Being the stronger team is usually a recipe for disappointment and lack of motivation.

I don't want to see us end this season with a loss. But I think playing a stronger, favored team might be the best way for Tennessee to avoid that loss.

Milton threw for 100 some yards against vandy. 50-60 of that on one play very early. I don’t think I want to see what he does against a better team. We already know. We will get to watch overthrow after overthrow unfortunately.

YEAH, for sure he should have quit handing the ball off for those 50 and 80 yard runs and checked into pass plays IN THE WIND AND RAIN to provide assurance to the NEGA crowd that can't wait to see a game where he gets the one reps in practice and gets to provide real evidence of whether he is an asset or not going forward. Way more important to trash him in advance for some. Even those that apply ever endearing "I hope I am wrong" safety net. I would be shocked if he approached Hendon production. I will be shocked if any QB does in the near future. Hendon was a perfectly matched talent to what Coach designed. Tee did not match Peyton either and that worked out OK.

Besides... from the program's perspective, where's the upside in playing UCF? If we beat them, who cares? We beat UCF. If we lose, we're ending a great season with a huge embarrassment. There is literally (I don't use this word lightly) no upside.

We aren’t respected as a program. You don’t get it unless you play and beat good teams. Ducking them perpetrates the image.

History says we should have been afraid of Florida, LSU, and Alabama. Lots of our fans were, but luckily our players aren’t.

I want to play K-State or Utah, those dudes are doing some hitting and want to win. Those are the types of teams I want to see us play. Yes I want to see us win but sometimes like last year you play a team equal to yours and lose a close one. I hurts but it is exciting to watch.
