Could Croom become a TE?

Keep trying real hard and you can probably name a few more. Shall I start naming RB's that are not even 6' much less 6'4"?

There are plenty 6' 1" to 6' 3". My point is why worry about 1 or 2 inch height diff. Pad level is the only thing that matters. If he runs high then he'll get beat up. If he runs like he's 6'1 then he'll be fine. His speed and gameplay is undeniable. He'll get coached up the right way.

Im not worried, just giving my opinion. By the way, he does run high. He could end up being the best back to ever play at UT and i'll be as happy as anyone. My opinion, like everybody elses on here, doesnt mean crap.

So...in summary...Croom transforms into Jalen Hurd next year and FINALLY plays TE like Dooley wants as a Dallas WR coach...k..k..got it...but who will Gruden hire as defensive coordinator?...Randy Shannon?...Lovie Smith...and who will tell Butch Davis?...If Butch Jones is recruiting well...WILL THEY KEEP IT A SECRET?...sheez...go to bed at 8 and my Vol world went up and got complicated!

I've watched his tapes. He plays behind his pads well, takes on contact, runs through arm tackles, and has home run speed. What else do you want?

Iirc...Dooley had decided to move him to TE last year after he got hurt. So no he wouldn't be good at TE cause dooley is a moron that has no clue about what would be best for player development. So all yall that agreed with the OP need to go in TO for it.

Just stating facts man. Has nothing to do with love or not. Just facts. Can't stand when people act as if it's some kind of new concept when it was discussed and done last year. Pretty simple. Let CBJ figure out what's best for the team and stop stupid ecoaching.

I have mentioned this about Hurd to TE before. He is listed as 6'4" 232 in HS. Assuming he grows another inch(as most 6'4 17 year olds do) and assuming he puts on 5 to 10% lean muscle weight, he could b 6'5" 255+ in college, with history as a WR in HS (soph). I think he would then move to TE, not because he is "too big" to play RB, but because he may be too well suited to TE not to change. A great TE has a lot more earning potential than a good RB.

plus, the difference between running a sub 4.4 as a TE vs as a RB is the difference between elite and par.
