Could Florida Fall to .500?

The good thing for Florida is that they are still the best team in their state and that will help with recruiting.

???? Miami and FSU beg to disagree. If UF finishes 6-6, I think its 50:50 whether Muschamp has a job at UF in 2014. Foley already has a finger on the trigger.

I would gladly take CWM if Florida does not want him.

The guy is an outstanding coach and will get the opportunity to get his offense situated.

Where's the gator faithful? Let's hear their take. I think 6-6 is likely and Muschamp will have to send someone packing on the offensive side.

Totally agree! Losses to the Dawgs, Gamecocks and blown out by FSU. 6-6 and the coach could be gone.

Why would you fire the guy that just won 10 or 11 games the previous year, can't remember the exact number. And now his team is getting destroyed with injuries this year.

The UF AD is a very smart guy IMO.

The only way he's gone is if he royally ticks off someone higher up; i.e. refuses to make staff changes. Last season and the injuries this season makes him safe.

They end up 6-6 next season he's probably gone.

hell yes, it's possible.

it ain't just possible, it's probable. that's a best case scenario. they arent winning on the road, so carolina is out. they aren't beating fsu because fsu is too good.

georgia is winnable in theory, because of how beat up georgia is except for one problem....florida is even more beat up. and florida wasn't as good as georgia when both teams were full strength to begin with.

if the 2013 season were a boxing match, i would have thrown in the towel during the 1st half of the missouri game.

florida isn't capable of simply being able to compete at this point.

I'm fully expecting a FL beat down tomorrow to be honest

Wild guess:

-Gators finish 6-6 (4-4)
-Pease fired
-Muschamp starts next season on hot seat
-???
-Tennessee beats Florida in Neyland

The last two times we beat Florida their coach didn't make the post season (Spurrier '01 and Zook '04). Granted the ole ball coach left for the NFL but still.

Yes you did, and rightfully so.

If UF doesn't beat Vandy, 5-7 is the ceiling, and Muschamp needs to go.

The east is a dumpster fire right now. Vandy has a legit shot to beat UGA, UF and UT in the same season.

I think UF and UT both find a way to beat Vandy tho. Both go 6-6 and Muschamp stays put for one more year. His problem will be can he fix the offense enough in one year to make it past that. Hard to see at this point.

I have to believe Foley is silently sending out job feelers right now and getting his slush fund together in case this happens. He's not stupid. Alabama rotates on to the UF football schedule next year so the Gators' SEC schedule gets harder.

Due to the amount of injuries on the roster, will Foley and the dept. be willing to give Muschamp a pass on this year?
