Things will be wide open and we might not know until the Bowling Green opener on September 4th.

Salter has got to be excited about the coaching change as well...he and Hooker seem great fits for the offense. But I’m hoping Heupel is flexible enough to adjust his schemes to match the talent - Bailey and Maurer are both good QBs.
Why do people believe Maurer is a good qb? I don't see it

Right now Hooker's pass accuracy is better than both those and Maurer keeps having concussions on the run.

That cross the field pass by Hooker shows he has a strong arm while maintaining accuracy.

He might not be the starter but looks like the best dual-threat since Tee. Lol, got to get some tall and wide-bodied receivers.

He's way better than Dobbs.

If I read correctly, Hooker actually entered the portal.

Tennessee football roster: Who’s in, who’s out after Heupel hiring | WATE 6 On Your Side

"Tennessee did have one quarterback head the other direction in the transfer portal with the acquisition of Hendon Hooker, a redshirt junior from Virginia Tech. In two seasons, Hooker started 15 games for the Hokies. He totaled 2,894 yards and 22 touchdowns with 7 interceptions. He also ran for 1,033 yards and 14 touchdowns.
Remaining QBs: Brian Maurer, Harrison Bailey, Spencer Smith and Hooker"

Go back and watch the games he was prepared to play in vs the games he wasn’t. It should be self explanatory unless you put more emphasis on games that the coaches failed HIM.

He has always worked his offense around the best talent. Not just a particular offense.
