Could Joe Milton switch to Tight End or WR?

If he actually was a big talent, as you mentioned, he wouldn’t be sitting on the bench. He was given every opportunity and benefit of the doubt early on to be QB1.

I believe he could contribute at another position but he has to want to, he doesn't seem to be too fond of contact. Kid is definitely an athletic freak at 6'5 250.

Let us not confuse talent and athleticism. Milton is a great athlete, I would think there has to be a way to use his athleticism that would benefit us and maybe, just maybe, get him into the NFL. That would be an uncomfortable conversation between Heupel and Milton, I certainly would not want to be a part of it.

I doubt it. He’s athletic enough to be a tight end but I’m not sure that he could handle the blocking aspect. Don’t think he’s explosive enough to be a receiver. I think his best bet is to learn as much as possible from Heupel and hopefully he’s able to harness the potential in his cannon of an arm

I never understand how we assume that changing positions is easy if you are big and athletic, especially talking about tight end. TE is one of the most complicated positions to learn at a high level. Being big and athletic doesn't mean squat if you've never played it before. He'd take at least a couple of years to develop the skills, and by then we will have hopefully recruited guys that are coming in with more experience at that position anyway. I don't think he is physical enough to play TE anyway. He avoids all contact at QB already. He definitely doesn't have the skills this staff seems to like at WR.

Dude needs to play at a lower level where he can take it slower and develop his game.
