As Johnny use to say. If if's and but's where candy and nuts blahblahblah. Look on the bright side of all this crap. I bet Corona beer is on sale now. Btw does anyone on this site anyone know of someone that has this virus or has passed away from it ? Inquiring minds would like to know.
Dude, I get the attempt at bringing some levity to the situation.
However, I’d prefer to wait a few weeks until we see the full impact of this thing before we start acting like it’s no big deal.

A friend of mine in California has it. He and his family are young and it isn't hitting them hard, but it has been persistent in his mother-in-law, who fortunately has not yet been hospitalized.

Why stop at mid majors? An exception like that could provide a massive imbalance all over the place. TN could effectively get one player back (Bowden), while auburn could get purifoy, doughty, McCormick, Wiley, and McLemore back. They could literally start 5 5th year seniors.

I feel like McLemore played with Barkley.

He needs to. He is not good enough for the NBA.
A lot of people said the same about Kyle, but ended up being very wrong. I believe he has a realistic shot, and will certainly warrant a look at summer league. From there, it's anyone's guess.

If they wanted to do something for the seniors they could have a one off special tournament composed of teams made up entirely of the seniors. Make a big deal about it, appoint some retired coaches who get to draft teams. Then have them play some exhibition games and then a 8/16/? team Coronavirus Classic.

Maybe the teams would each be affiliated with conferences.

Have it in Las Vegas, coordinate with the NBA to make it more appealing. Pay the players.

They would need to do it before next season though.

I hope they grant an extra year for senior wrestlers. In their sport, everything is geared towards the national tournament. To have that snatched away is a terrible blow to some of these athletes.

Really miss UT having a wrestling team. My roomie at UT wrestled. We worked out a lot including time on the mat. Those guys are incredible athletes. Too bad the title 9 BS killed it off.

What about those ones with like the map on the underside of the lid?

Ever rearranged them and stood back to watch the reactions? That's what it feels like in dealing with the corona virus/life these days.

It makes sense that if you do it for teams that had a legitimate chance like Dayton to make a run, why would it not be the same for every school that could of got in by winning their conference tournament?

That's be a tough "factor" to use to determine "legitimate" chance. Even if you say 25 have a legit chance, then your still talking about a "chance". Then you are looking at more than 100 squads that don't have a chance. So, at the end of the day, you've got 8 teams that get past the sweet16.

Throwing hundreds of teams recruiting and rosters into chaos because 8 teams missed out on a big year, is not worth it. Just let the AP pick the #1 team and get it over with. Everyone will jostle about over who they think is #1 like it used to be in football. Of course, since the Vols were @ to go on a 9 game win streak 19-20' will forever be the year that we were gonna win it all.
