Most I have been excited about BBALL in a looooong time! A lot of puzzle pieces that should fit well together on this team.Me too. It's hard to get swapped when football is good. It's time for us to make an NCAA run!
Lots of new pieces for CRB to tinker with till February. Hopefully we stay healthy and the right rotations emerge for him.
It's a little more bark than bite, which isn't to say it isn't challenging, but...Whoa, I just checked our non-conference schedule and it's STACKED. That has to be one of the tougher schedules in the nation.
- Michigan State
- Wisconsin
- Syracuse
- Gonzaga
- Purdue
- North Carolina
- George Mason
- Illinois
- NC State
... to name a few
I agree with everything you’re saying but I’m just really glad Barnes always plays a non conference schedule with a lot of Power 5 teams and some of them being basketball school names. It always seems to help our seeding in the NCAAT. If we were playing like Auburn or Texas A&Ms normal non conference schedules then I would have a problem with it.It's a little more bark than bite, which isn't to say it isn't challenging, but...
- Michigan State (scrimmage game that doesn’t count)
- Wisconsin (they are coming off a down year having missed the NCAAT, but it is at Madison)
- Syracuse (Maui Inv...they are coming off a down year having missed the NCAAT)

- George Mason (meh...)
- Illinois (coming off an average season and 1st round NCAAT bounce)
- NC State (coming off an average season and 1st round NCAAT bounce, gam is on a neutral court)
Certainly. I'm not in any way knocking it. Just putting some perspective alongside it. A lot of those programs have incredible histories, but their current versions aren't to be confused with their heyday. Still a very solid and challenging schedule, no doubt, and much better than 95% of the rest of the country.I agree with everything you’re saying but I’m just really glad Barnes always plays a non conference schedule with a lot of Power 5 teams and some of them being basketball school names. Yeah I agree with you about that the teams aren’t up to their historic names. I’m just glad we play some exciting non conference games. Now the one gripe I do have is only 1 of those are at home and that’s Illinois. I am not a fan of these neutral sites games at until unless it’s a tourney like Maui or Battle Four AtlantisCertainly.
