Country music thread

Dallas can’t fathom dropping $160 for tickets near him. You’re wanting to buy $1000 tickets plus airfare and boarding

Good music is good music. My cousin is very involved in Farm Aid so have seen DMB several times, wouldn't go to see them stand alone but it's definitely one everyone should check off.

As far as big mixed festivals I think im too old for something that's not Mile 0/Steamboat/Braun Brothers. I get the appeal but don't want to spend days in the sun mingling with people there to see (whatever popular radio rock band).

I love a lot of music. Grunge and jam bands are always a fun time in my book. I’ve seen DMB 3 times. The worry with Dave is whether he’s drunk, high, or both before he even sets foot on stage.

I love a lot of music at home or in the car but if I’m making an event out of it and committing multiple days and lots of money I want to love as close to 100% of the music/performers as possible. I’m with @Toujours Pret on this one, there are only a select few festivals I would go to at this stage in life; Mile 0, Steamboat, Merlefest and probably a couple others are all that could get me to make that kind of commitment.

Maybe it's the military in me, maybe I'm just younger than my physical age. Maybe a little of both. I can ignore the stuff I don't want to put up with. I think it would be awesome to be somewhere and see Isbell on Thursday night, Pearl Jam on Friday, DMB on Saturday, and then the Turnpike reunion on Sunday afternoon. Throw in Norah Jones, James Taylor, or Carbon Leaf one of those nights as well? I wouldn't know what to do.

My first Pat Green show was followed by watching Lupe Fiasco. Of course, I was 14 years younger than I am today for that one.

All that said, I'm in the enlisted military tax bracket. I'm definitely not in the Mile0Fest tax bracket.

Idk if this is common knowledge or not, but apparently George Strait had “Friends in low places” on standby and Garth cut it before he could... I really want to hear what George’s version would sound like.

The story of BJ's red guitar is funny. After a night of partying one of his exes honky tank man'd him with his old guitar and found him one with NC State colors out of guilt
