I know Dallas says he can’t get related to and therefore enjoy female singers, but imo they have a raw energy and an emotional charge that makes their music absolutely incredible.

That said, my girl Ashley Monroe can kick rocks with her pop album. I kid, she’s allowed to write and sing whatever she wants, but everything I love about her is missing from her new album.

So I’m listening to Isbell live from the Ryman. What Amanda Shires does with a fiddle is just too incredible.

I grew up in the cradle of country music. I knew many of the greats before they were great. Hell, I knew the Oak Ridge Boys when they were still a Gospel quartet.

Still, that doesn't make me any more of an arbiter than you.

There is nothing about Jason Aldean, and that song is particular, that is anything but hot garbage. I don’t care if you grew up sitting on Mother Maybelle’s lap and visited Hank Sr every Sunday. If you post crap, I ain’t hitting like, and I’m letting you now I think it’s crap. Just ask Dallas.
