Rockingham may well be my most played on Spotify when the year ends. Its just amazing. I think that album gave me a much better understanding of what BJ and Fishtank as a whole.

I can see Chicamacomico getting lots of listens and I’m holding out hope for a new album from this little known band that apparently blew the doors off of Cain’s last weekend.

I cant wait to see what the boys from Okemah have for us, on that note what's the odds of Felker and Fulbright being close in age from the same small town?

I have a hunch from chats with a few random roadies (and my gut) that TPT had something going for a bit, which is why Ryan stopped touring with Reckless. Their record will smash it.

BJ played a few that he was working on when pandemic streams were a thing, and one caught my ear, dont remember a title (if there was one) but it had the line "I've spent half my life looking for that place I call home" and it was a hitter.

The New Years Day song I've only heard live and that is a gut punch, especially for someone whose mom is getting up there.

Gotta say, Zach Bryan’s new stuff isn’t doing it for me
Late July didn’t really do anything for me and Highway Boys is a fun listen but ultimately nothing overly special. Having said that, From Austin is a great song imo. Supposedly his album next month is going to have 34 tracks on it, no way they’re all going to be classics but I actually love that approach. I respect the hell outta artists who work tirelessly to craft what they think is a perfect album but I’ve gotta admit that I sometimes get a little annoyed when they cut it so much that the total album lasts less than 40 minutes.

34 tracks? Shew.

And yeah, Late July stinks, Highway Boys is good, not great, and From Austin I guess is supposed to be the “big” track to bring in listeners.

The two songs I’ve heard on Insta are gut punches. All I Needed (released yesterday, played at RTTR) is way more upbeat, but I really like it.

I can’t imagine how good a TT album will be at this point. So many rumors, but I know Evan has been writing a lot per Staci and I’m sure RC has some good ones he’s drafted up too.

Fulbright and Felker coming up in a small town at the same time, just insane that kind of song writing talent

I love AA, probably my favorite artist/band for a few years running now but that song just doesn’t work to me. It feels like he got stuck in the studio during the “slappers, bangers and twangers” covers fun he was having during quarantine and decided to stay in that mode for a new song too.

Sounds like a song that someone like Tracy Byrd would have put out around 1994.

Hey, whatcha got against Tracy? 😂

Hearing his name always brings a tear to my eye. My grandma swore up and down she was related to Tracy. I’ve been meaning to do an ancestor thing to see if she was right.

I’ll say this: it sounds infinitely better live. Maybe it’s like casualties. The album cut is ho-hum to me. Live it’s brilliant. I heard all I needed live in WS and at RTTR. I was a fan from those. I like the lyrics.

So I'll likely not go see Koe again, he's great live but much more production than substance.

That and the crowd talked over Mike Ryan like he was a thursday night cover band at the VFW

Not surprising, Koe puts out some bangers but I don’t think I’d go see him live
Maybe I'm getting to be "get off my lawn" age but the crowd was really off putting all in all. Not gonna lie I was definitely like that in the early 2000s, just aged out of the 'concerts are solely for getting ****ed up" group.

I had to laugh at people singing along to Ragweed like it hurts who 100% have never heard Ragweed 🤣

Getting into a fight at both Turnpike and Old Crow turned me off the concerts permanently. Too many idiots in todays world.

I can agree with that, but it's my main hobby. Most crowds are good overall in the grand scheme, but I do get edgy when the performers are urging a crowd of shitfaced 22 year olds to get more ****ed up.

Go out and get drunk and have fun. But you can get drunk and have fun without getting into a trailer park frenzy

"Pickin' to Beat the Devil" "Kentucky women and Tennessee whiskey...it's gonna be Hell to pay." I'd say reverse the modifiers.
